Join your colleagues for an update on Google’s advanced features and on finding the sites that most search engines miss entirely. The first session will help you improve your techniques for Google’s Universal Search, News, Scholar and Books to increase the relevancy of your results discuss the future of web searching.
The second session will focus on the “Invisible Web,” invisible to most search engines and vast in size and quality. Learn why search engines miss these sites and some strategies for unearthing the best of them. Presenters will offer a sampling of sites, often government sites and finish the workshop with tips for teaching these Internet searching skills to patrons.
