Well you can feel the chill in the air and that means that fall
has officially arrived. What's great about fall? It is the best
driving season for our A's. The 2014 Fall Tour to Woodward is this
week and it looks like the weather will be great for this event.
Our tour committee has put together what looks like a great weekend
for both clubs. If you have not made a tour event, you just don't
know what your miss-ing. Not only a great opportunity to drive your
car but the fellow-ship is outstanding. Bill and Rocky have laid
out the route. They will be leaving from Bill's garage on Thursday

At this month's meeting we will have a special guest from the
Oklahoma Highway Patrol to discuss road safety in the Model A.
Remember at next month's meeting, it's time for our annual "Beans
and Cornbread" dinner.
Final plans for the Christmas dinner have been made and you can
read all about it in this month’s Scuttlebutt.

This is a reprint from one of our club newsletters in 1988 from
Carolyn Kirk who is still a member of our club. Thanks Carolyn they
sound yummy!! Spice Cake Oatmeal Cookies 1 box spice cake mix 1/4
c. brown sugar 2 c. uncooked oats 1 c. chopped nuts 1 c. raisins 2
eggs 3/4 c. cooking oil 1/2 c. milk Mix dry ingredients. Add eggs,
oil, milk. Drop on greased sheet. Bake @ 350 de-grees 10-15
minutes.

The SOONER MODEL A CLUB is a non-profit organization affiliated
with the Model A Ford Club of America. All correspondence for the
club should be sent to the address above. General Meetings are held
on the third Tuesday of the months of January thru November.
Meetings commence at 7:00 p.m. and are held at Will Rogers Garden
Center at 3400 N.W. 36th in Okla. City. All members are welcome to
attend the club’s Board Meetings, which are held on the first
Tuesday of each month at a location designated by the President and
advertised in the Scuttlebutt. Membership dues are $20.00 per year.
The primary requirement for membership shall be an interest in the
objectives of the organization and a desire to participate in its
activities. Actual possession of a Model A Ford is not a necessity.
A member must be of good character as to be of benefit to the club,
its functions and activities. An ac-tive member must be a member of
the Model A Ford Club of America.
