This Rosary we offer to You is our prayer of adoration, thanksgiving and love. As we contemplateYour birth, life, death, and resurrection, fill us with Your holy presence. May our prayers rise to Youas a pleasing and fragrant flower to be placed in Your heavenly garden.

Jn 6:68-69 - You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and are convinced that youare the Holy One of God.

We pray for an increase in faith and faithfulness. We pray to be filled with hopes that will lead us todo Your will. And we pray for an increase in charity, in our lives, and in the world.

The Annunciation

(St. Anne – Holy Mother of Mary – July 26th) “What I saw in her I can only describe by saying that Irecognized in her the cradle and tabernacle of the holy child she was to conceive and preserve; amother blessed indeed.” Let us pray for the holiness of all mothers.

Our Father…

Isaiah 7:14 – Therefore the Lord himself will give you this sign: the virgin shall be with child, andbear a son, and shall name him Immanuel.

Lk 1:26-27 – In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee calledNazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s namewas Mary.

The Visitation

Lk 1:13 – But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, because your prayer has beenheard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall name him John.”

Lk 1:39-40 – Mary set out and traveled to the hill country in haste to a town of Judah, where sheentered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth.

Lk 1:41-42 – When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth,filled with the holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said, “Most blessed are you among women,and blessed is the fruit of your womb.”

Lk 1:44 – For at the moment the sound of Mary’s greeting reached Elizabeth’s ears, the infant inElizabeth’s womb leaped for joy.

Third Joyful Mystery

The Birth of Christ

(Saint Clare of Assisi – Aug. 11th) – “Cling to His Most sweet Mother who carried a Son Whom theheavens could not contain; and yet she carried Him in the little enclosure of her holy womb and heldHim in her virginal lap.” Let us pray that we may also carry Jesus with us, wherever we go, whateverwe do, and with whomever we interact. Let us pray for love of poverty and the grace to despise

riches and worldly desires. Let us pray for complete confidence in God.

Micah 5:1 – But you, Bethlehem-Ephrathah, too small to be among the clans of Judah, from you shallcome forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose origin has no beginning.

Lk 2:1-5 – In those days, a decree went out that the whole world should be enrolled. All went to beenrolled, each to his own town. Joseph went to the city of David that is called Bethlehem, because hewas of the house and family of David, to be enrolled with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child.

Lk 2:6-7 – While they were there, the time came for her to have her child, and she gave birth to herfirstborn son. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was noroom for them in the inn.

Fourth Joyful Mystery

The Presentation

(Saint Padre Pio – Sept. 23rd) – “The ardent desire to be in eternal peace is good and holy. But it isnecessary to moderate it by a complete resignation to the Divine Will. It is better to do the DivineWill on earth than to enjoy heaven.” Let us pray for the gift to have complete resignation to God’slaws, morals and statutes.

Lk 2:22 – When the days were completed for their purification according to the law of Moses, theytook him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord.

Lk 2:25-26 – Now there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. It had been revealed tohim by the holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Messiah of the Lord.

Lk 2:27-30 – When the parents brought in the child Jesus, Simeon took him into his arms and blessedGod, saying; “Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, for my eyes have seen yoursalvation.”

Lk 2:33-34 – The child’s father and mother were amazed; and Simeon blessed them and said to Maryhis mother, “Behold, this child is destined for the fall and rise of many in Israel”

Lk 2:34-35 – “…He is to be a sign that will be contradicted and you (Mary) yourself a sword willpierce so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

Lk 2:36-38 – There was also a prophetess, Anna. She never left the temple, but worshiped night andday with fasting and prayer. Coming forward at that very time, she gave thanks to God and spokeabout the child to all who were awaiting the redemption of Jerusalem.

Fifth Joyful Mystery

Finding Jesus in the Temple

(St. Bernadette of Lourdes – Apr. 16th) – “My own concerns no longer concern me: from now on Imust belong entirely to God, and God alone. Never to myself.” Let us pray for total trust in God,knowing that He is a good and faithful God, and His will for us, is a will that will lead us to Him,forever.

Lk 2:41-42 – Each year his parents went to Jerusalem for the feast of Passover, and when he wastwelve years old, they went up according to festival custom.

Lk 2:43 – After they had completed its days, as they were returning, the boy Jesus remained behind inJerusalem, but his parents did not know it.

Lk 2:46-47 – After three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers,listening to them and asking them questions, and all who heard him were astounded at hisunderstanding and answers.

Mt 7:28-29 – When Jesus finished these words, the crowds were astonished at his teaching, for hetaught them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.

First Luminous Mystery

Baptism of Jesus in the River Jordan

(Message from Our Lord to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque – Oct. 16th) – “I would speak to all hearts,but they do not want to listen; and when I find one that is open to my graces, then I flood that heart.”Let us pray that our souls may be like sponges, open to the graces God wishes to bestow on us.

Our Father…

Jn 1:6,8 – A man named John was sent from God. He was not the light, but came to testify to the light.

Hail Mary… (2x times)

Lk 3:15-16 – The people were asking in their hearts whether John might be the Messiah. Johnanswered them all, saying, “I am baptizing you with water, but one mightier than I is coming. I am notworthy to loosen the thongs of his sandals. He will baptize you with the holy Spirit and fire.”

Hail Mary… (2x times)

Mt 3:13-14 – Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. John tried toprevent him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and yet you are coming to me?”

Mt 3:15-16 – Jesus said to John in reply, “Allow it now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill allrighteousness.” The heavens were opened, and John saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove.

Isaiah 40:3,4 – A voice cries out In the desert, “Prepare the way of the Lord! Make straight in thewasteland a highway for our God! Then the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all mankind shallsee it together.”

Jn 1:35-37 – John, with two of his disciples, watched Jesus walk by, and said, “Behold, the Lamb ofGod.” The two disciples heard what John said and followed Jesus.

Second Luminous Mystery

The Wedding Feast at Cana

Our earthly life should be a continuation of Jesus Christ’s life, through Mary. With the help of MaryImmaculate we can do everything. The closer we draw to Mary, the closer we become to her Son.(St. Louis Marie de Montfort – Apr. 28th) – “Mary is the safest, easiest, shortest and most perfectway of approaching Jesus.” Let us heed the words of Mary and pray to live a life of doing whateverHe tells us.

Our Father…

Jn 2:1-3 – There was a wedding in Cana, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus and his discipleswere also invited to the wedding. When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, “Theyhave no wine.”

Hail Mary… (2x times)

Jn 2:5 – His mother said to the servers, “Do whatever He tells you.”

Hail Mary… (2x times)

Jn 2:6-7 – There were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washings, each holdingtwenty to thirty gallons. Jesus told them, “Fill the jars with water.” So they filled them to the brim.

Jn 2:8-9 – Then he told them, “Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter.” The headwaitertasted the water that had become wine, without knowing where it came from.

Jn 2:9-10 – The headwaiter called the bridegroom and said to him, “Everyone serves good wine first,and then when people have drunk freely, an inferior one; but you have kept the good wine until now.”

Jn 2:11 – Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs in Cana in Galilee and so revealed his glory, andhis disciples began to believe in him.

Third Luminous Mystery

Proclamation of the Kingdom of Heaven, and the Call to Conversion

(St. Anthony of Padua – June 13th) = “We spread the love of God by loving as he loves.” Let us prayfor non-believers, that they may hear the calling of God in their lives. And let us pray for God’s

calling in our own lives, that it may not be smothered by the worries of this temporal life.

Mt 9:35 – Jesus went around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaimingthe gospel of the kingdom, and curing every disease and illness.

Mk 16:15-16 – He said to them, Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature.Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned.”

Mk 10:15 – Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will notenter it.

Mt 13:41-43 – They will collect out of his kingdom all who cause others to sin and all evildoers.They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth. Thenthe righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears ought to hear.

Mk 1:15 – “This is the time of fulfillment. The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in thegospel.”

The Transfiguration

(St. Anthony of Egypt – Jan. 17th) – “Let Christ be as the breath you breathe, in Him put your trust. Beearnest always to be in union first with the Lord and then with the saints; that after death they also mayreceive you as known friends.” Let us pray to be the light of Christ in all we think, say and do.

Jn 1:5 – The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

Jn 12:46 – “I came into the world as light, so that everyone who believes in me might not remain indarkness.”

Mt 17:5 – Behold, a bright cloud cast a shadow over them, then from the cloud came a voice thatsaid, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.”

Mt 17:2 – And he was transfigured before them; his face shone like the sun and his clothes becamewhite as light.

Institution of Eucharist at the Last Supper

(St. Peter Julian Eymard – Aug. 3rd) – “To abide in His love is to make the Eucharist the center ofour desires. To abide in His love is to delight in surprising Him with some gift, or some littlesacrifice. To abide in His love is to live by the Eucharist; to guide ourselves in our actions by Histhought, and to make it a point to always prefer the good service of the Eucharist to everything else.”Let us pray that all souls may make Jesus in the Eucharist their first joy in life.

Jn 6:33-34 – “The true bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to theworld.” So they said to him, “Sir, give us this bread always.”

Jn 6:51 – “I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will liveforever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.”

Jn 6:53-54 – “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink hisblood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life,and I will raise him on the last day.”

First Sorrowful Mystery

Agony in the Garden

(St. Bonaventure – July 15th) – “He who desires to go on advancing from virtue to virtue, from graceto grace, should meditate continually on the Passion of Jesus.” We pray for contrition of our sins andthe grace to forgive others. We pray for the virtue of compassion and empathy.

Jn 12:27-28 – “I am troubled. Yet what should I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? For it was forthis purpose that I came to this hour. Father, glorify your name.”

Jn 17:1 – Jesus raised his eyes to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Give glory to yourson, so that your son may glorify you.”

Mt 26:31 – Then Jesus said to them, “This night all of you will have your faith in me shaken, for it iswritten: “I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be dispersed”.

Second Sorrowful Mystery

Scourging at the Pillar

(St. Teresa of Avila – Oct. 15th) – “Since the spiritual world is based entirely on humility, the closerone gets to God, the more this virtue should grow.” We pray for the grace to mortify our senses to theworldly pleasures. We pray for the virtue of humility and charity towards our enemies.

Mk 14:61-62 – Again, the high priest asked him and said to him, “Are you the Messiah, the son of theBlessed One?” Then Jesus answered, “I am; and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right handof the Power and coming with the clouds of heaven.”

Mk 14:63-64 – At that the high priest tore his garments and said, “What further need have we ofwitnesses? You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?” They all condemned him.

Lk 22:63-65 – the men were ridiculing and beating him. They blindfolded him and questioned him,“Prophesy! Who is it that struck you?” And they reviled him in saying many other things against him.

Third Sorrowful Mystery

Crowning of Thorns

(St. Thomas Aquinas – Jan. 28th) – “In this life no one can fulfill his longing, nor can any creaturesatisfy man’s desire. Only God satisfies. He infinitely exceeds all other pleasures.“ Let us pray forthe mortification of our pride and our self-love. We pray for the grace to despise the world; to be in

the world but not of it.

Mt 27:27-28 – Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus inside the Praetorium and gathered thewhole cohort around him. They stripped off his clothes and threw a scarlet military cloak about him.

Mt 27:29 – Weaving a crown out of thorns, they placed it on his head, and a reed in his right hand.And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”

Jn 19:9-10 – Pilate said to Jesus, “Where are you from? Do you not speak to me? Do you not knowthat I have power to release you and that I have power to crucify you?”

Jn 19:11 – Jesus answered [Pilate], “You would have no power over me if it had not been given toyou from above. For this reason the one who handed me over to you has the greater sin.”

Jn 19:12 – Pilate tried to release him, but the Jews cried out, “If you release him, you are not a Friendof Caesar.”

Jn 19:13-15 – Pilate seated Jesus (prophetically) on the judge’s bench, called Gabbatha. He then said[to the crowd], “Behold your king!” They cried out, “Take him away! Crucify him!”

Fourth Sorrowful Mystery

Carrying of the Cross

(Bl. Elizabeth of the Trinity) – “Jesus gives his cross to his true friends so he can come even closer tothem.” Let us pray for patience in tribulation and the grace to recognize and accept daily trials asblessings from God. We pray for the virtue of perseverance.

Jn 19:16-17 – [Pilate] handed him over to them to be crucified. They took Jesus, and carrying thecross himself he went out to the Place of the Skull, Golgotha. (Known in Latin as Calvary)

Rom 8:18 – I consider that the sufferings of this present time are as nothing compared with the gloryto be revealed for us.

Ps 17:10 – My ravenous enemies press upon me; they close their hearts, they fill their mouths withproud roaring.

Ps 35:15 – When I stumbled they gathered with glee; they gathered against me like strangers. Theyslandered me without ceasing.

Fifth Sorrowful Mystery

The Crucifixion and Death

(St. Rose of Lima – Aug 23rd) – “We cannot win grace if we do not suffer affliction; toil upon toilmust be ours if we are to attain an intimate share in the divine nature.” Let us pray for the spirit tooffer up small sacrifices daily, in thanksgiving for Christ’s redemptive crucifixion that He sufferedfor our sins.

Isaiah 53:4 – Yet it was our infirmities that he bore, our sufferings that he endured, while we thoughtof him as stricken, as one smitten by God and afflicted.

Phil 2:7-8 – He emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and foundhuman in appearance, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross.

1Pet 2:24 – He himself bore our sins in his body upon the cross, so that, free from sin, we might livefor righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

Mk 15:33 – At noon darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon. And at threeo’clock Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which is translated, “MyGod, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

The Resurrection
