Our Lady of the Rosary School logo

Last night we had our first ‘visual branding’ committee meeting. As part of our process we are sourcing any information on the history of our school logo. If you have any information on the development, design and history of our school logo could you please contact me or our school office; [email protected]. We would really appreciate any information on how we came to have our school logo. Ngā mihi Karolina Surynt-Tapiki [email protected]

TERM 4 Teachers only days - The board have confirmed 2 teachers only days for term 4. Please note that school will be closed on the following dates: Tuesday 27th October (day after Labour Day) and Friday 27th November. We are informing you of these dates well in advance to ensure you are able to plan ahead. Thank you.

School Uniform - WINTER TERM - It is timely with the term break coming up, to remind families to please support us in ensuring your child/ren are wearing the correct school uniform. School shoes must be black with black soles and worn to and from school.

We welcome children to bring slippers to school to wear inside the classroom, ideally for the slippers to stay at school during term 3. Due to the extreme weather we are having, gumboots are also an option to wear at school, during the break times.

Yesterday our middle syndicate classes enjoyed a fun day celebrating their inquiry learning on ‘flight’ throughout this term. Here are some fun pics.

Community Engagement Survey - Thank you to all the families that responded to our recent Community Engagement Survey. We had 92 responses. On Monday the board reviewed the survey responses and will report back to the community early in term 3.

School photo day was today. Your child will come home with a notice that has a ‘shoot-key’ on it. You can order your photos online @ www.lcscott.co.nz by 20th July. You are still able to order after this date (postage cost will be incurred) and the photos will be sent directly to you (not through school).

Fire and Emergency NZ offers these visits to help people make their homes fire safe for them and their families.

We are available to provide free information, can help install and test smoke alarms, or provide a free smoke alarm to those who are eligible.

Term dates 2021 - Confirmed

Term 1: 3 February to 16 April (98 half days)

Term 2: 3 May to 9 July (98 half days)

Term 3: 26 July to 1 October (100 half days)

Term 4: 18 October to 15 December (84 half days)
