(EN) A few years ago, as a company, we chose a specific direction. Our genetic material was and remains the start-ing point, but our focus shifted to offering added value to growers and retailers. We have achieved this with our marketing support and sales support. In this, our mission is becoming increasingly clear: putting the grower in a better market position.

Through smart collaboration we have launched specific product-grower-market combinations. It took some courage to create our own, divergent path, but Im very glad that we did this. We persevered and have been rewarded with some new developments. Winning the International Grower of the Year award in 2014 confirms that we are on the right track.

A step furtherIn my view, the ultimate goal of the entire flower and plant sector is to create an inspiring living space and enjoyment for consumers. To succeed in this, we must collaborate in the sup-ply chain. As breeder, our position is at the start of the chain; we see it as our task to find partners throughout the chain with whom we can achieve this.

So, we havent finished yet. There is still much terrain to explore. Step by step we are sowing our seed worldwide, engaging with even more partners in the chain to increase market return.

8Touch Me + Collaboration in the chain

(EN) The Touch Me+ growers association was established in 2013. In this association, Schoneveld Breeding works together with growers to ultimately develop a unique pro-duct into a premium brand.

We are stronger when we work together. The growers associa-tion can promote Touch Me which ensures better distribution in the winter period. Because, despite all the excellent proper- ties of this cheerful spring flowering houseplant, it is still a rela-tively small product group. However, the growers associations most important activity is improving product quality. To this end, the products undergo independent quality testing. Con-siderable progress has been booked in the past three years. This form of collaboration will remain important to ensure that the itch-free Primula obconica finds its way into as many living rooms as possible.

(EN) Touch Me Midi has a genetically compact plant structure and is available in eight vibrant, bright colours, including two bi-colours. The leaves are bright green and firm. The compact structure makes the plant very suitable for production in 10.5 to 12 cm pots. Primula Touch Me Midi is a Primula obconica variety that does not contain primine, the substance responsi-ble for allergic reactions. Consumers can therefore enjoy these itch-free plants to the full.

Maximal plant : 25 cm.

Minimal plant : 15 cm.

(EN) The plant and flower size are large. Yet this series also has a beautiful round plant structure, typical for our genetics. Touch Me is available in nine magnificent colours. Two of which are bi-colours, and we have improved Red-White this year. The plant is larger than in previous years, so that it now fits in bet-ter with the other colours. Primula Touch Me is suitable for cul-tivation in pot sizes 12 17 cm. Primula Touch Me is a Primula obconica variety that does not contain primine, the substance responsible for allergic reactions. (EN) This series has a large plant and flower size. Original is easy to recognise because of its bright colours and thick, firm flower stems. Primula Original also has abundant, uniform blooms. Available in eight colours, including two bi-colours. This Primula obconica variety does contain primine, which means that the plant is less attractive to insects. It is highly suitable for cultivation in warm climates.

(EN) Paradiso Mini prefers a cool climate and is a compact growing Primula acaulis. The plant requires little energy and hardly any growth regulators, and consumers enjoy its long-lasting blooms. Primula Paradiso Mini is available in nine colours for cultivation in pot sizes 9 10,5 cm.

(EN) Paradiso Mid Early is a Primula acaulis with compact growth and which continues to flower in the home. This means that the plant can be cultivated with minimal use of growth regulators. In addition, the plants suffer from yellowing leaves less often. Paradiso Mid Early is available in eleven different colours including one bi-colour. Wine Red is the new colour this season. This Primula acaulis is suitable for cultiva-tion in 10 12 cm pots.

(EN) The Primula Paradiso Late is a new introduction to the Primula acaulis series in the 2016 season. Just like Paradiso Mid Early and Paradiso Mini, this Primula acaulis is compact, so it can be cultivated with minimal use of growth regulators. The plant is less sensitive to yellowing leaves and it grows uniformly. In contrast to Paradiso Mid Early and Paradiso Mini, Primula Paradiso Late needs considerable cold conditions to come into bloom. The bloom period is therefore later. For Northern Europe this is from the end of February to the end of March. Primula Paradiso Late is available from the 2016 season in 6 different colours, suitable for pot sizes 10 12 cm.

(EN) Sprinkles is a medium-sized pot Ranunculus which performs best at low temperatures. The plant has uniform blooms and a compact full structure. The variety has mo-dest growth regulator requirements. Ranunculus Sprinkles is available in eight colours, including two bi-colours. Two colours are new. Violet Bi-colour and Orange are available in the standard assortment for 2016. Ranunculus Sprinkles is suitable for pot sizes 10 12 cm. If you wish to use larger pots, we recommend multiple plants per pot.
