The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is pleased to offer scholarship opportunities to assist in
defraying some of your college expenditures. Please review each scholarship’s criteria carefully to see if you
qualify.
In addition, all scholarship applicants MUST meet the following criteria:
1. Demonstrate financial need if required by scholarship sponsor (typically determined by FAFSA).
2. Meet specific criteria for the scholarships to which they are applying.
3. Attend a HACU-member college or university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico at the time applications are

The Dream US Scholarship is available for the high school seniors or high school graduates who demonstrate financial
need and have earned a high school un-weighted GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
The Scholarship Deadline is March 8th, 2017.

The Dream US Scholarship
It’s free to apply for all current student, and we award $6,000 in scholarships each year to the three winners.
Our organization, AlcoRehab.org, works towards raising awareness of the alcohol abuse and addiction issues and hoping
to encourage as many people as possible to realize the potential consequences of their drinking habits.
The scholarship recipients will be selected through an essay contest, and essays are judged based on their originality and
content. There are no costs associated with submitting an application for this scholarship, and the next application period
begins October 10.
We are working on getting as much visibility as possible so that all students who need scholarships the most can apply.

Soros Justice Fellowship– This fellowship is open to individuals passionate about advancing reform, spurring
debate, and catalyzing change on a range of issues facing the U.S. criminal justice system. Funding ranges from
$58,700 to $110,250. This opportunity is open to undocumented immigrants with or without DACA.
National Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship– This $2,000 to $5,000 scholarship opportunity
is open to students who are committed to careers in health care and enrolled full-time in dental, medical,
nursing, pharmacy, public health, and policy schools.
La Unidad Latina Foundation Scholarship– This scholarship opportunity is open to undocumented college and
graduate school students.
UCLA Law School Fellows Program– This program prepares participants to successfully enter and succeed in
top law programs and legal careers by affording Fellows access to a variety of events, programs and services,
including mentoring, LSAT preparation (course and workshops), and much more.
Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship– This scholarship opportunity is open to
undocumented community college students who will be transferring to a 4-year university. Each award
provides up to $40,000/year to cover the student’s educational expenses – including tuition, living expenses,
books and required fees – for the final two to three years necessary to achieve a bachelor’s degree.
Soros Fellowship Program for New Americans– This fellowship provides up to $90,000 in support toward
living expenses and tuition over two years. Students pursuing any graduate degree, discipline, or profession at
any graduate school in the country may apply. Undergraduates on track to earn their undergraduate degree by
June 2017 and first- or second-year graduate students are eligible to apply.
Public Policy and International Affairs Program– This program supports students in their pursuit of graduate
degrees in public policy and international affairs. Students who are selected receive housing, food, a $1,500
stipend, GRE studying materials, and much more.
NYSYLC Scholarship– This scholarship opportunity is open to undocumented students residing in NYC and
attending or planning to attend a NY school.
CARECEN Educational Exchange Trip to El Salvador– CARECEN recently announced their 4th annual
Educational Exchange Trip to El Salvador and DACA recipients are highly encouraged to apply! The trip will
take place from June 17 to July 3, 2017. CARECEN will assist eligible DACA & TPS recipients to apply for
advance parole.
Act Six Leadership & Scholarship Initiative– This is a full-tuition and full-need scholarship open to
undocumented students in the following regions: Tacoma-Seattle, Portland, Yakima Valley, Spokane, and
Minnesota.
DACA Scholars Scholarship– Scholarships available to students who are pursuing a higher education (2
scholarships of $500 & 2 scholarships of $1,000 for the Spring 2017 semester). This opportunity is open to
undocumented students (with or without DACA) who are in high school, college, or graduate school.
Ford Foundation Pre-Doctoral Fellowship– This fellowship opportunity is open to undocumented graduate
students with DACA. It offers an annual stipend of $24,000, expenses paid to attend at least one Conference of
Ford Fellows, as well as access to Ford Fellow Regional Liaisons, a network of former Ford Fellows who have
volunteered to provide mentoring and support to current fellows.
Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship– This scholarship is open to undocumented high school students
graduating in Spring 2017. It provides up to $40,000 per year (plus opportunities for internships, study abroad,
graduate school funding, and more
Golden Apple Scholarship– Golden Apple Scholars who enter the program out of High School receive up
to $23,000 in scholarships and stipend funds, paid summer institutes, academic support, job placement
assistance, and ongoing mentoring. This opportunity is open to undocumented high school students with
DACA in Illinois.
Google Lime Scholarship– Scholarships are open to undocumented students with disabilities. Students will be
awarded based on the strength of their academic background and demonstrated passion for computer science –
$10,000 for those studying in the US and $5,000 for those studying in Canada (based on tuition costs).
Science Ambassador Scholarship– This is a full tuition (for up to four years) scholarship opportunity for a
woman who is pursuing an undergraduate degree in science, engineering, or math.
LEDA Scholars Program– This program supports students over a six year trajectory so that they can apply to
and thrive in selective colleges. It is open to undocumented high school juniors with DACA.
Student Education and Leadership Fund Scholarship– This $6,000 scholarship opportunity who live in the
District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia and who will have graduated from high school by July 1, 2017.
USHLI Scholarship– Students attending or accepted to an accredited undergraduate four-year institution are
eligible for a $1000 scholarship. Students attending or accepted to an accredited undergraduate two-year
institution are eligible for a $500 scholarship.
Microsoft Scholarship– This scholarship opportunity is for students who are interested in pursuing studies in
Computer Science and related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) disciplines.

1. The first scholarship is "Aspiring Fashion Professional" Scholarship. This is a $1,000 scholarship that will be awarded
to students that are interested in pursuing a fashion degree at an accredited post-secondary school or college. Interested

2. The 2nd Scholarship is the "Aspiring Animation Professional" Scholarship Program. This is the 5th year we are
awarding this scholarship for AnimationCareerReview.com. We are offering high school seniors the opportunity to win a
$1,000 scholarship. This will be awarded to students that are interested in pursuing an animation career path at an

Mercedes-Benz USA Launches Scholarship Program Deadline: June
Mercedes-Benz USA has launched a national scholarship program to provide
educational assistance to students who will be the first in their families to attend college. The
program, Drive Your Future: The Mercedes-Benz USA Scholarship Program, will make $500,000 in
funding available to students through support from MBUSA and the fund-raising activities of its
dealers.
Graduating high school seniors who will be the first in their families
to attend college or vocational school are invited to apply for
one-time, $2,000 scholarships. Three students in each state will receive
scholarships in addition to students from various youth organizations.
More than 250 scholarships will be awarded in 2004.
