THE MOST HOLY TRINITY SUNDAY
God is One. We also pray and strive for “unity and peace.” If we are to know unity and peace when we find it, we must first learn to seek it in our lives. As human beings we are physical, psychological and spiritual. We have treasures from the physical world. We have talents, which bolster our own and
others’ emotional lives. We have time enough for love because God is love and God lives forever. When we focus our lives, we realize that the unity and peace that we seek is not physical sleep or escape from emotional exhaustion, but the resting of our spirit with the Lord. God creates and gives us life. God redeems and ransoms us from death. God sanctifies and sustains us. Praise to the Holy Trinity. This Sunday the readings are: (1) Exodus 34: 4-6, 8-9 (2) 2 Corinthians 13: 11-13 (3) John 3:16-18.Year A Next Sunday the readings will be: (1) Deuteronomy 8: 2-3, 14-16 (2) 1 Corinthians 10: 16-17 (3) John 6: 51-58. Year A

Kroger Shoppers:
Have you linked your Kroger Rewards Card to MHC? It’s easy, and Kroger sends MHC a quarterly check based on the rewards points earned through this program. It does not affect the gasoline reward points you earn on the same card. If you already have an account for your Kroger Plus Card, skip to step 2.
1. Go to www.krogercommunityrewards.com. Find the “Ohio, Indiana” area in about the middle of the page. Click on the “Enroll Now” button and follow the instructions on the “Create an Account” page. 2. Sign into your account through www.krogercommunityrewards.com, NOT through the regular Kroger.com website. A page should appear with the following sections: “Find your organization”. Enter “Mary Help of Christians”. “Organization Name, Address, Organization Number”. Be sure to click on the little circle in front of the MHC information (the circle should turn blue). “Complete Enrollment”. Click on “Save” box. If you have any questions, call Judy @ 937-879-3570. Kroger Community Rewards number code to BL334 . If you are already registered, then it is automatically updated. If you wish to sign up and designate the Mary, Help of Christians Church then use BL334 or search for “Mary, Help of Christians”.

Earth Tips By MHC Green Let’s Go Walking Walking is good for health and also protects our environment in the areas listed below: AIR POLLUTION: If we have short trips to make, it is more helpful for air quality to walk. Air pollution emissions from starting a motor vehicle is at its greatest at that point. NOISE POLLUTION: Noise levels in congested traffic areas provide a huge and serious noise pollution atmosphere. Most urban areas have hospitals, schools, churches and community buildings on main thoroughfares with little buffering or soundproofing. CLIMATE CHANGE: The creation of greenhouse gas emission from motor vehicles contributes a large impact to global warming. With rising numbers of these vehicles, the effect is only going to increase the damage to our delicate environment situation. ECONOMIC SAVINGS: Of course, if one walks you eliminate the expenses associated with use of an auto.

This might be a great time to review your resume, just in case. Whether you are actively looking, considering looking for a new job, or just perusing job postings to see what’s out there, updating your resume now will help you “be ready” for whatever the future brings for you. Hi, I’m Judith Schimpf, as a MHC parishioner for 10 years and a career coach for more than 20 years,
I am volunteering to help MHC Parishioners (like our name says). I will review your resume or help you to write it, help you with your job search, to prep for an interview, or talk about your situation and concerns. I have worked with people who have been laid off, changing careers, or retiring. I can be reached at [email protected] so let me know how I can help.

MEETINGS AND GROUPS SCHEDULED AT MHC
As the Church opens back up for public mass we are working hard to ensure the safety of all involved with the parish and it’s ministries. We have decided not to open up SFH, the parish center and other facilities for group meetings.
We are working out the best practices for cleaning after each meeting and how to maintain social distancing. Please know we have your best interest at heart. Thank you for your understanding and your
cooperation.

Since 1978 Right to Life and FYI have been selling Mother's Day flowers to help fund the projects that promote Respect for all Life. The profit from this flower sale helps fund all the programs within our pregnancy and parenting centers. Over the past 43 years, MHC has supported this project and we have appreciated their generosity. Father Tom is allowing FYI to celebrate both Moms and Dads together on Father's Day this year. We will be selling roses for moms and a special surprise for dads. Celebrate both of them on June 21 after Mass in the Bride’s Room. Thanks for your continued support.
Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Servers, Ushers and Sacristans
We are using fewer ministers at this time due to directives from the Archdiocese . I will be contacting each minister to see if you are interested in helping in a limited capacity. There is no pressure to do so. It is your decision. The current
schedule is not being used. Thank you for your continued service to our parish I hope someday soon we can be back to some kind of new normal. As ministers you are an invaluable part of this parish and we treasure you. Thanks!

If You Can’t Receive Communion, Make a Spiritual Communion
“Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.” Act of Spiritual Communion The Church encourages frequent, even daily, Holy Communion, but if at any time we cannot go to Mass in or out of this season of the coronavirus, we can still unite ourselves to the Eucharist through making a spiritual Communion. By making an Act of Spiritual Communion, we express our faith in Christ’s Real Presence in the Eucharist and ask him to unite himself with us. Here is the Act of Spiritual Communion written by St. Alphonsus de Liguori:
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

MHC 2020 Festival We have made the very difficult decision to cancel this year's MHC festival due to the on-going global pandemic of COVID-19. There is much uncertainty right now on when things will be back to “normal” and we felt it was the right decision. That being said, our annual Festival is a major fundraiser for the parish so we are looking for ways we can recoup some of the lost revenue. Here are some things we have planned. We will still have the Mary, Help of Christians Raffle along with the ever popular Treasure Trove. (Both will be a little different than normal.)
Raffle tickets will be available in the church gathering space starting June 20 on the Raffle tickets table. Tickets will also be available at all doors. No searching required—just “grab & take”. Each envelope will contain 8 books of tickets and a letter explaining the raffle process which will be slightly different this year. Dates for Treasure Trove will be Thursday, July 30, Friday, July 31, Saturday, Aug 1 and Sunday, Aug. 2. Treasure Trove Donations: Drop off hours @ the Parish Center by Mary statue will be Monday–Friday from 10:00AM– 2:00PM starting Monday, June 8. Workers are required to help sort and price items. Used books may be dropped off at the same place and hours as Treasure Trove. There will be a table marked “Books”.
We are looking forward to next year's festival on July 16th, 17th, and 18th, 2021. Please save the dates. A big “Thank You” to everyone who has helped in 46 years of festivals you are appreciated. See you next year!!!
