Application performance and capacity testing

at its best.

Product OverviewScapa Test and Performance Platform (TPP) works by simulating multiple users of a computer system in a way that is, as far as the system is concerned, completely indistinguishable from real users.

By measuring the performance seen by virtual users, it is possible to understand how the system would behave under a corresponding level of real usage.

In this one product, software vendors, systems integrators and end-user organizations will find the tools they need to ensure the performance of IT systems – from rollout through upgrades and other systems changes.

GUI Benchmarking, Stress/Load TestingFrom application developers, to system integrators, Scapa Test and Performance Platform (TPP) should be part of your toolbox.

TPP is the only performance and capacity testing tool on the market with a scriptONCE approach to GUI testing. GUI scripts can be run on any architecture without having to re-script.

Scripts are interoperable. Scripts written for fat or thin client testing can be run on any virtual desktop or virtual application delivery platform, without modification.

Tests encompass how software and hardware stacks change by driving activity from the end user point. Scripts drive the GUI of the application with all measurements taken from the end-user perspective.

• Need assistance? Scapa Consultancy Services are available.

HTTP and BMC Action Request SystemTPP is not just for GUI testing; it can also be used to record and drive HTTP and BMC Action Request System API (also known as Remedy, AR System and ARS).

TPP is the only tool on the market that can re-create the Remedy API from the Remedy logs. Test scripts are then parameterized prior to running the stress/load tests.

“Will the end user experience be comparable with my existing system?”

“What is the end user experience in the production environment?”

“How can we diagnose this performance problem?”

“Where are the bottlenecks in the system?”

“Should we buy a WAN optimiser?”

“Should we go virtual/provision?”

“How many concurrent users?”“Will the system scale in proportion to load?”

• Scalability Profiling • Bottleneck Identification • Capacity Planning • Performance Comparison • Service Availability • Diagnostic testing

Testing ScenariosScapa Test and Performance Platform can be used anywhere in the life cycle of an application or a deployed environment, where it can be used to compare the performance before and after configuration changes and architectural change such as an application or hardware upgrades.

Use historical benchmarks results to diagnose problems and perform trend analysis.

Customers care about the end user experience for their whole application mix, not just single components. Scapa Test and Performance Platform drives the real applications in a way that, as far as the system is concerned, completely indistinguishable from real users. The real end user metrics are obtained and the entire software and hardware stack is driven. Full stack end user perspective testing is the ultimate way to test.
