• James 1.9 “ Let the brother of low degreerejoice in that he is exalted.”

• James 4.10 “ Humble yourselves in the sightof God, and he shall lift you up.”

• Matthew 23.12 “ And whosoever shall exalthimself shall be abased; and he that shallhumble himself shall be exalted.”

• 1 Peter 5.6 “ Humble yourselves thereforeunder the mighty hand of God, that he mayexalt you in due time.”




• 1 Peter 5b “ for God resisteth the proud,and giveth grace to the humble.”

• James 4.5,6 “ Do ye think that the

scripture saith in vain, The spirit thatdwelleth in us lusteth to envy? But hegiveth more grace. Wherefore he saith,God resisteth the proud, but giveth graceunto the humble.”




• Humility: A place of submission, giving

control to God by yielding to His Spirit.

• Humility opens the door for Grace

• Grace is the means by which we attain

holiness or holy living. Conscience

functions inside of Grace, an impartation

from God.




• Grace defined,

• Philippians 2.12,13 “ Wherefore, my

beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as

in my presence only, but now much more

in my absence, work out your own

salvation with fear and trembling. For it is

God which worketh in you both to willand to do of His good pleasure.”




• What then is the problem ?

• Pride will not let you agree with the

image that God is showing you.

• Pride will argue with the definition of

Grace

• Pride will keep you double minded

• Pride will cause God to resist you
