After reviewing the description of the position, I believe that my interest in the business field, love for sports, and determination toward reaching my goals fits well with the position available in your organization.  I feel that my proven skills as a Management major at Gettysburg College and multiple experiences outside the classroom has given me the necessary tools to be an asset to SB Nation. The attached resume highlights my skills, employment history, and active involvement in several organizations at Gettysburg College; such as leadership, communication, and cooperation which could be valuable to SB Nation. While at Gettysburg College I have been able to immerse myself into several experiences that have strengthened my character, intelligence, and leadership.  As a student I am pursuing a major in management, and a strong interest in the retail industry that has me pursuing a career within that spectrum. My drive to keep extending my knowledge in this field is the reason I am drawn to working in this industry. As an athlete, I was a three year starter for the Gettysburg College Football team.  The time demand of football has forced me to have excellent time management and organizational skills that cannot be taught, but rather experienced.  As a leader on the football team I have learned how to thrive under the pressure of others looking to me for answers, while developing strong communication skills. In addition to football I held the position of philanthropy chair in the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity Pennsylvania Delta Chapter.  I took the initiative to run for this position because in years past our fraternity has struggled in the area of philanthropy.  I initiated the first K¶s for Kids Cancer fundraiser event benefiting the Children¶s Cancer Research Fund.  I was responsible for delegating assignments to people in our organization to solicit donations by selling t-shirts, making phone calls, sending emails, and visiting local businesses.  Our goal for the fundraiser was to make it our most profitable yet, and we surpassed all previous events in the first two weeks.  I also have found time to balance two jobs on campus at the Athletic Training room and the Gettysburg College management department.  Also, this past summer I gained a substantial amount of professional experience while interning as a Food and Beverage Supervisor at the Atlantic City Hilton.  The leadership and organizational skills I learned by being put into a managerial position was excellent experience; and I feel those experiences will help me be an asset to SB Nation. Please consider my information regarding candidacy for the full-time Account Manager position.  I look forward to the opportunity to interview with you.  Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Nicholas Duerr
