Save Illinois Libraries! Illinois libraries are struggling to cope with unprecedented usage: job seekers are making use of computers and free access to the Internet to find employment. Families with extremely strained budgets are flocking to the library for books, CDs, DVDs, games, and programs. Children are coming to the library in record numbers for afterschool help. The Wood Dale Public Library District uses per capita grant funding to strengthen our Library collection. We use this money to purchase multiple copies of popular titles, job and career resources, and material to meet the educational needs of students and lifelong learners in our community.

For the regional library systems that support libraries of all types around the state, the cuts are devastating.
