    FIRST AID IN CASE OF ELECTRIC SHOCK

    DO NOT TOUCH THE VICTIM WITH YOUR BARE HANDS until the circuit is broken. SWITCH OFF. If this is not possible, PROTECT YOURSELF With DRY insulating material and pull the victim clear of the conductor. If breathing has stopped, indicated by unconsciousness, lack of respiratory and a blue look the cheeks, lips, ears and nails, START RESUSCITATION AT ONCE.

    EMERGENCY RESUSCITATION: EXPIRED AIR METHOD

    - If possible, lie the victim on his back, with his head slightly higher than his feet. Clear mouth and the throat of any obvious obstruction.

    - Kneel on one side of the victim, level with his head. LIFT THE JAW AND TILT THE HEAD BACK AS FAR AS POSSIBLE. (Figures 1a and 1b).

    - One of the following may now happen:

    - Breathing may begin, and consciousness return.

    - Breathing may begin, but consciousness may NOT return. Turn the victim on his side and ensure that the airway is kept clear.

    - Breathing may return, but be NOISY, which means that the airway is not fully clear. Try to clear the airway.

    IF THERE IS NO SIGN OF BREATHING

    - Check that the head is still tilted back.

    - Take a deep breath.

    - Pinch the victims nose and blow firmly into his mouth. As you do, his chest will RISE (figure 2).

    - Turn your head away and take another breath, watching for the chest to FALL (figure 3).

    - Start with four quick deep breaths and then continue with one breath every five seconds (i.e. 12 times a minute). This should be continued until the victim revives or a doctor certifies death..

  • III SAU-25 (5 Unit)

    - As consciousness returns, the victim will start to breathe on his own and a pink color replaces the blue look. This is the time to stop resuscitation. Continue to hold his chin up and so keep the airway clear.

    - In the case of injuries to the mouth, it may be necessary to use mouth-to-nose resuscitation. Seal the victims mouth with your cheek and blow firmly into his nose, proceeding as above.

    - In any case it is ESSENTIAL to commence resuscitation WITHOUT DELAY and to send for medical assistance immediately.

    TREATMENT FOR BURNS

    If the victim is also suffering from burns, then, without hindrance to resuscitation, observe the following:

    - Do not attempt to remove clothing adhering to the burns.

    - If possible, alleviate the pain from the burn part by immersing in cold water.

    - If help is available or as soon as resuscitation is no longer required, the wound should be covered with a DRY clean dressing.

    1.1 General Description

    In Fig. 1.1 there is the frontal SAU-25 500W Amplifier cabinet whose block diagram is shown in fig. 1.3, at the end of this chapter.

    The amplifier is composed by 3 block chain of simple pallets, one named LD-MOS driver amplifier and 2 combined LD-MOS Final Amplifiers.

    The driver amplifier is connected to the inputs of the 2 LD-MOS Final Amplifiers trough one, 2 Ways Divider.

    The 2 amplifier outputs are combined with one, Output adapter, and one HY1 hybrid coupler. The output of the hybrid, trough a DC1 Directional Coupler is connected to the RF output connector.

    The DC voltage for the amplifiers is about 30V. The power supply gives 30V for the amplifiers and the driver. The two blowers on the rear of the cabinet are supplied from the a 24V Power Supply. The blowers cool the amplifiers heatsink.

    There is an another power supply of 5V DC for the Display Control assembly. In Fig. 1.5 there is the SAU-25 500W UHF AMPLIFIER interconnection diagram. The SAU-25 500W UHF AMPLIFIER is allocated into a four unit cabinet.

    The upper part of the display shows always the date, the hour and the direct power. The status line shows the condition of the amplifier OFF or ON and OK or NOT for the indication of enable. Last line shows the hoors of operation.

    Second line for direct power of the indicated amplifier. Third line for reflected power.

    Second & third lines for the control of the current of the RF pallets.

    Second & third lines shows the voltages of the four P.S.

    Second & third lines for the supply voltage and current of the RF driver and the blower current. Second line we have the indication of the temperature of the heat synk.

    3 Alarms in 1 minute will cause blocking of the machine. This display shows the different active alarms. Reset active alarms, press UP and DOWN for 5 sec.

    This display shows the data logger alarms DD= Day MM= Month YY= Year Reset alarms, press UP, DOWN and ENTER For 5 sec.

    CONFIGURATION MENU

    Turn On the equipment and after 5 sec. press the 3 buttons: UP DOWN ENTER and you enter inside the configuration menu, choose the desired configuration with buttons UP/DOWN

    - Press ENTER and digit the Date and the Time , then push the buttons UP/DOWN until the desired data are required and push ENTER to save.

    If you desire to clear the data from the DATALOG push YES or NO and you exit from configuration menu

    2.1 General description

    In Fig. 2.1 there is the 200W UHF RF DRIVER pallet as driver amplifier.

    The power output from this amplifier is 75W p.s. with common carriers amplification.

    It is power supplied about 30V-OR by the four power supplies.

    The operation class of the amplifier is AB. The gain is 18dB min.

    6.1 General Description

    This hybrid coupler has the two outputs of the 2+2 Ways Combiner and its output is connected to the final Directional Coupler DC1.

    In order to obtain the maximum efficiency from the power combination of the RF pallets, the final combiner is made by a 3dB hybrid with air coupling.

    The 3dB hybrid connections are arranged to be welled directly to the other connections.

    The schematic block diagram is shown in Fig. 6.2.

    10.1 General Description

    The Display Control Unit board controls all the 1KW Amplifier cabinet functions.

    It shows on the local display the 1KW Amplifier measurements and the functioning state with the measurements are transmitted to a remote control.

    Looking at the Display Control Unit block diagram ( Fig. 11.2) itll be noticed that the core of the control unit is the microcontroller 89C662.

    Than there is the power measurement group formed by the direct power and the reflected power peak detectors and the voltage, current and temperature detectors.

    All these measurements are sent to the multiplexer and than to the analog / digital converter, the output of the A/D Converter is connected to the microcontroller 89C662.

    To the microcontroller are also connected:

    - The display

    - The measurements selection key button

    - The I/O parallel interface

    - The RS485 / RS232 interface for remote control.

    Direct and reflected power measurement block

    On the input there is the detected video signal and in the output, by a peak detector, it will be a DC level equal to the maximum peak of the detected signal.

    There are also two inputs where the RF signal is connected and, by a detector diode, in the output it will be a detected video signal that will arrive to a peak detector.

    The resulting DC analog voltage signal will be converted by the A/D Converter in binary signal and than sent to the microcontroller.

    The signal will be controlled by the microcontroller and, if the direct or the reflected power is out from the limits, the microcontroller will give the alarm by the failure diode led.

    In case of max reflected power, the microcontroller will give three times the ON command enable to the AC/DC Converter power supplies, before to stop definitively the AC/DC Converter power supplies for over reflected power.

    In the same time the microcontroller, if the reflected power measurement is chosen by the relative key push button will give on the display the measuremet.

    Multiplexer and controller

    To the multiplexer will arrive all the measurement signals and then the signals enter in the A/D Converter that will convert the analog signal in binary value, latched to the input signal; this value will be sent to the microcontroller.

    The measurement signals are:

    - current

    - voltage

    - cabinet temperature

    - power output

    The microcontroller controls that all the parameters are into the expected range, otherwise the microcontroller will provide to signal the failure with the failure led on and to give other commands depending to the failure that will happen.

    In case that the temperature will be over the expected limit, the microcontroller will give the on enable to the AC/DC Converter p.s. for three times and then will stop the functioning for maximum over temperature.

    In case of over current the microcontroller will stop suddenly the AC/DC Converter power supply.

    If the voltage of the power supply is out of the range the microcontroller will give only a segnalation.

    At the same time, the microcontroller will provide to show on the display the measurement that will be chosen with the selection push key button.

    RS485 and RS232 interface

    This board part is used to communicate the cabinet state and measurements to the remote control.

    IN / OUT interface

    This circuit is made essentially by three relays K1-K2 and K3; they furnish to a remote control an insulated contact for give the following informations:

    K1 Signals the presence of only failure into the cabinet.

    K2 Signals the direct power output at level less than 3db of the nominal value

    K3 Gives one contact to be used for possible enable to remote control.

    In this interface is present the contact useful to enable the AC/DC Converter power supplies and the measurement selection push key button.
