Registration Fee is $5 per participant and is due in full at time of check-in. Checks must be written to: ‘NMSU Foundation/Cheer’
All participants MUST have a signed waiver also due at time of check-in. Each team is allowed 1 Head Coach and 2 Asst. Coaches
REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS: January 20th, 2015 @ 5pm Spectators: $10/adults, $5/Children under 5 years
Trophies, banner, and much more will be awarded! Awards will be given for each division & in several other categories!

Rules and Guidelines
All school teams are required to follow the National Federation and AACCA Safety Guidelines.
Each participating team may compete in up to two categories.
Routines are a maximum of 2 minutes and 30 seconds for cheer w/music performance and 1 minute and 15-30 seconds for game day. Please have one coach/representative at the music table.
Cheer team will compete on a 42 X 54’ cheer mats (9 strips). Dance teams will compete on a hard wood basketball court.
Stretching, tumbling, and routine warm-up area along with music system will be provided.
Judges for Aggie Spirit Championship (hosted by NMSU Cheer Program) will be impartial, qualified, and experienced from New Mexico with a knowledge of and background in cheer and dance.
Awards will be presented for Cheer and Dance Division Routines.
Additional individual competitions for cheer and dance in the areas of jumps, tumbling, turns, etc., will also be facilitated. Entry fees are $5/person. You can register individuals upon arrival to check-in.
Vendor tables (shout outs, flowers, and photos) and concessions will also be available.
Performance order will be available no later than the Wednesday before competition January 27
th, 2014.

Liability Release: I ___________________________, as parent or legal guardian of
________________________________, a minor (participant), hereby grant the permission necessary to
allow participation in the Aggie Spirit Championship (hosted by NMSU Cheer Program). I, on my own
behalf of the participant, further agree to release and hold harmless to New Mexico State University,
NMSU Cheer, and any of their staff/members from any and all liability arising out of or connected with the
Aggie Spirit Championship (hosted by NMSU Cheer Program). This includes any claim arising out of or
connected with any illness or injury (minimal, serious, catastrophic and/or death) that participant may
incur or sustain during the competition or any activity associated with the event. The terms hereof shall
serve as a release and assumption of all risk for my heirs, estate executor administrator, assignees and
for all members of my family.
Assuming Risk: I, on my own behalf and behalf of participant, acknowledge and agree that such
participation subjects the participant to the possibility of physical illness or injury (minimal, serious,
catastrophic and/or death) and that I acknowledge that the participant is assuming the risk of such illness
or injury by participation in the Aggie Spirit Championship (hosted by NMSU Cheer Program), I recognize
the importance of following the instructions regarding and performing based on the AACCA, NFHS and
USASF rules/guidelines set forth.

that I have read this Participant Release and Waiver Form in it entirety and fully understand its content. I
am aware that, this form releases New Mexico State University, NMSU Cheer, and any of their
staff/members from liability and contains an acknowledgement of voluntary and knows assumption of the
risk of injury or illness. I, on my behalf participant, have signed this document voluntarily and of my own
free will.
