DearColleagues,

Alotofhypeinthemediaandrecentopinionsinnutritionandmetabolismhavemadesomereasonformoreconfusionandpolemicamongstsociety.Thereisalotofdatawithoutaccompanyingfactsandseveralchallengestosettingascientificevidencebasewhenitcomestonutrition,mostlyduetotheeffectivemanagementinpediatricnutritionandmetabolism.Accordingly,thismakesanidealsituationforprimarycaretogetoutthecorrectinformation.Withthisinmind,wehavedevelopedanoutstandingprogramforthis3rdIndonesianPediatricNutritionandMetabolicUpdate(3rdNUTRIMET)atSolofrom27to28April2019.Fromtheprogrammaterial,youwillseeatop-notchlistofpresentationsgivenbyanoutstandingpresenters,frombothnationalandinternationalexpertise.The3rdIndonesianPediatricNutritionandMetabolicUpdatewiththethemethisyear“AllaboutControversiesinNutritionandMetabolic”willservetodiscussthesecontroversiesandprovideevidence-basedscienceuponrecentlydiscoveredinformationonnutritionandmetabolic,andtodispelcommonmythsonitsrelationshiptopediatrichealth.

Itisbecomingmoreapparentwiththepassingoftimethatanincreasingnumberofotherspecialistsandhealthcareprofessionals from all backgrounds are joining our annual update.TheNutrition andMetabolicDiseaseWorkingGroup/IndonesianPediatricSocietyiscommittedtothedevelopmentandadvancementofhealthprofessionalsintheartofscienceofnutritionandmetabolicdiseasetherapy,thereforeinthisyearprogramweprovidescoupleofcomprehensiveworkshopsforGeneralPractitionersandHealthcareProfessionals,underlyingcomplexanddynamicaspectsinthefields.
