CAN YOU VOLUNTEER SOME OF YOUR VALUABLE TIME?A big thank you to all those parents who have already put their names down for a shift at the show. We need lots more! Every bit of help counts and will be needed across a range of areas. If you will be able to help out for a few hours on the weekend, please let us know. This will all help to make a success of the event this year.

WHAT TO DO

STEP 1 Browse event Volunteers Roster site https://sites.google.com/site/owpsfestivalvolunteers/home

STEP 2 Decide on a shift(s) and email owpsfestivalvolunteers@gmail.com or SMS 0424 601 171 with the following details:

t Child’s first name and class t Your name t Your contact number t Area you wish to volunteer t Date and time of shift

STEP 3 Your request will be acknowledged within 24 hours.

STEP 4 Working with Children Check – Important a ‘Working with Children’ check will need to be completed for all volunteers at the event. To fill in the form online, go to: www.kidsguardian.nsw.gov.au/check. Your WWC number will be emailed to you within a few days and should then be forwarded to Jacqui at owpsfestivalvounteers@gmail.com

HAVE FUN FOLLOWING THE ADVENTURE TRAIL THIS YEAR! Kids can pick up a passport at the Ray White stand and get started on their

adventure! This will be a great way to get off the beaten track and discover what’s at the Community Festival. Each participant that gets their passport stamped at each stop and and completes the quiz on their

way, will receive a gift!

Get creative in the Craft Hub. There will be mini upcycling workshops, as well as the ever-popular plaster mould painting activity or just relax for a Mani Pedi and get the latest ‘Jnr’ look with Jamberry, vinyl nail wraps. Full details on workshop schedules will be issued shortly …

OUTDOOR GAMESFor the first time this year, Outdoor Games is coming to provide some interactive sports clinics. We welcome Little Kickers, ANZ Hot Shots (Holland’s Tennis Academy), AUSKICK (AFL) and NRL. Come along to experience and participate in one or all of our clinics – there will be prizes for participation. You may find something new that you enjoy!

Art Café & Cake Stall

For those new to the school or those who have not been involved before the Art Café and Cake Stall are volunteer-run stalls selling a selection of home-baked goods and coffee during the OWPS Community Festival. The Café provides somewhere to sit down and relax with a coffee and a snack and view the wonderful creations from the K-2 Art Project. While at the Festival, remember to stock-up on some sweet treats at the Cake Stall.

READY, STEAD, BAKE – We need your help to bake goods to be sold at the Art Café and Cake Stall during the OWPS Community Festival. Everything sold at the Art Café and Cake Stall is 100% profit with all funds going back to the school.

The Art Café and Cake Stall Coordinators have joined forces this year to make things easier for our volunteers.

Please complete the Donation form and place it into the Art Café / Cake Stall box in the office and we will arrange for your packaging to be sent home with students.

Yes we provide the packaging for all your sweet and savoury treats – all you have to do is bake and then drop off your goods on the morning of the Festival!

We will also be under the COLA from 3.15pm on Friday 26th August to answer any last minute questions and for any additional packaging collection.
