Abu Dhabi Workers Camp partners with Hackman

Euro Emirates, located in Abu Dhabi, began their part-nership this year with Hackman. Over the course of the summer, they have fitted out their 5 workers canteens with Viking Combi Kettles and Futura Bratt Pans.

10 000 meals per day are prepared by the trained kitchen staff.Rain Haava and Erik Eelmaa visited Cayathi Workers Camp 400km outside of Abu Dhabi, this fall, to commission the new site for its staff canteen facility.

Workers Camps in the GCC region vary in levels of hygiene and auto-mation. Hackman has worked with several sites such as this, to increase their focus on food safety, hygiene management and productivity solu-tions, for nearly a decade. Did you ever wonder who builds all the sky-scrapers in Dubai? Those workers all eat in large format staff canteens, which predominantly feature cuisine of the subcontinant. Hackman finds its long experience in India, to be es-pecially useful in situations like this.

Metos Finland has appointed Pasi Karhunen as full time SAP Project Leader for the roll out in 2013.

Pasi has been working part time on SAP during 2012, in its initial set up stages, and now turns his full focus to the important task ahead.

Pasi’s strong leadership, managerial focus and overall operations knowl-

edge gives him the special skill set to lead the Finnish Unit to a successful roll out, later in the year.

Pekka Mönkkönen will be overseeing factory operations, while Greg Archer, Marika Löfman & Joanna Kantonen con-tinue to head up the Sales Division in Kerava.

Metos Oy Ab: SAP - Head of Project

Central Production Kitchens To secure our continuous improvment and development of

our kettle products on international markets we are hiring new resources to our product development team. Starting right in the beginning of next year there will be three addi-tional people, a head designer, a mechanical designer and an electrical designer.

An old acquintance MSc. Tech. Tero Kähärä will take up the task of head designer. While being away from Metos Tero has acquired a vast knowledgeof the newest CAD-systems by teaching, installing and defining them for other compa-nies. With this background his first task will be to update our own systems to meet the newest standards and by mak-ing sure that the transfer into SAP will go smoothly also for R&D.

Hackman Cooking Factory sets Focus to Product Development

Into to the mechanical development of combi kettles comes MSc. Tech. Veli-Antti Huttunen. He has been working at ABB with the design of the mechanics of frequency converters. He has also been working at Seaking Oy so that he has al-ready experience in designing professional kitchen equip-ment for the marine industry.

Last but not least in the field of electrical design we pres-ent MSc Tech Mikael Portin. He has a lot of experience both from electrical and electronics design. Previously he has been working as Schneider Electric Oy, where he has been working with R&D. His previous experiences are strongly supporting the future needs for cooking product designs.
