When GOD

pushes somebody,

inspires somebody,

leads somebody

No power in the world

can stop such a person.

Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan(based on own continued experience)

It is a good fortune for every youth that the youth is having tremendous opportunities and unbelievable chances to succeed and to reach the pinnacle of success, as the world is developing so fast, moving so fast and experiencing the growth, which was never so in the past.

Our nation having the ideal demographic divide - 65% of the population is below the age of 35 years, has the power, the energy and the brains, which is without any match in the whole world. Amity believes in coupling the best of the west with the best of the east.

At SANGATHAN 2014, the Amity students are taking part from various continents and thus having the opportunities to learn from the qualities, virtues and traits of each other.

Achieving success is a wonderful experience. I am of the firm belief that the event ‘SANGATHAN’ provides to each one participating in it, to imbibe the perfect command on behavioural science and uncompromising urge to succeed, commitment to work hard with sincerity and dedication, great persuasive power, willingness to excel, ability to explore one’s own potential, team work, excellent command in communication skills, the most strategic approach for whatever one pursues, a positive killer instinct, a positive attitude, personal bondingof love and affection, caring and sharing nature with people around oneself and above all an uncompromising and undaunting faithin GOD.

I don’t think that there is any platform other than SANGATHAN which can hone all above virtues, capabilities and the available capacities of Amity students in one go. I am very confident that each one of my students can achieve everything in life, what he or she would aspire for.

One only needs to have big dreams and a mission, make a road map for that and do not deter under any circumstances, whatever challenges and problems one faces.

I compliment and congratulate the hard work put in by the faculty members, institutional heads, the Organizing Committee for SANGATHAN, Team Management from Amity Noida Campus and all other Amity campuses to make this unique mega event a grand success.

I am full of excitement to get the opportunity to meet you all at the Valedictory Function of SANGATHAN 2014.

With blessings and good wishes for a happy, successful and bright future.

‘Sangathan – The footprints traced’ Sangathan is the core, the heart and the soul of Amity. It is a deep-rooted emotion, a reflection of the togetherness of all Amitians, of our respect for our Founder President and of our commitment to always nurture talent. Each sportsperson’s face that glows is Sangathan; each participant who tried his best, and each hurdle crossed is Sangathan. Sangathan is a journey we are travelling in, a movement that tomorrows’ children will study about in history, a torch that will make our country’s sports shine one day. We are lucky indeed to be a modest part of this movement in tribute and celebration of our Founder’s Day. Long Live Sangathan!

TEAM CAPTAINS

It is Amity University’s endeavour to nurture students and hone their skills in a manner to bring out their full potential and instil in them winning and positive attitude, leadership qualities, team spirit in addition to empowering them with high education standards. The passion and the zeal required to succeed in life are also a prerequisite to excel in the sports.

Sangathan is one of the prestigious events, organised by Amity every year to celebrate the Founder’s Day and disseminate his philosophy of education and development of a complete well-cultured personality. On this day, we measure our sporting potential and our aspirations. The great sporting careers don’t start with the World Cups or Olympics, but begin in the backyards, on streets and school playing fields. We believe that sports teach teamwork, leadership and other life skills. That is why we have chosen to invest in sports, on this day.

I wish best of luck to all the participants to discover their talents and strive to be the best.
