1.1. Consolidation and reconstruction Work on the top wall and roof part at West

face north-west corner:

We are continuing to consolidating northward from the west face of previous

month, we completed the work at west face north-west corner at the end of October and

we continued in pararell with the top part at north-west corner (Photos 1-2, 3-14).

In the beginning of October we mainly conducted the consolidation and

restoration work at upper part of roof at north-west by continued to consolidate

northward. We conducted as usual where the parts are dismantled and reconstructed

and applied new brick to close the opening gaps and the missing parts. We are

conducting to dismantle in total 26 layers and reconstructed within applied new brick in

totally 15 pieces to replace missing part or broken bricks.

1.2. Consolidation and Reconstruction Work at Upper Part Top of North-West

Corner, West Face:

In continuing from 1.1 we are conducting the consolidation with dismantle partly

and reconstructed at upper part top of north-west corner, west face (Photos 15-18). As

mostly at the upper roof or top part of the wall where are tree and grass are easy grow,

which the roots of the tree are inserted to the gap opening, then it made outside brick

masonry was not touch so well (Photos 19-26). So after dismantled and clean the soil

After we completed the section 1.2, we continued on northward to the north-west

corner by dismantling and reconstruction by consolidating and restoration. As we have

done the consolidation work, before dismantled we did numbering then removed the

brick layers by layers. And the reconstruction works are done afterward with the

consolidating each brick before replace back (Photos 34-41).

1.4. Reinforce and Support the Loose Part of Cornice of North Face West Part

At the cornice of north face west part there are brick was lost, it is very

importance to support the upper part where the sculpture of balusters was curved

(Photos 42-45). We have installed the new brick 14 pieces (Photos 46-51).

1.5. The West Entrance, Re-arrangement the Support with Install New Material

From the middle of October we conducted the restoration work and re-arranged

the west entrance of N1 by remove the old supporting structure which had been installed

since 2001, then installed the new structure support with new material for long term

support and also in purpose to open the entrance widely make easy for tourist to access

into Tower N1.

Before we remove the old structure support, we have to clear the place that we

will install the support posts. Then we rendered the brick 19 pieces at the sides of the

wall where it was loose and sealing the gaps open as in Photos 62-66. We also prepare

the material as timber which is Tatrav wood that had been used in ancient time as a

wood material for Angkor temple (Photos 67-68). We also prepare steel H shape 10cm *

10cm for strong beams, which we applied 4 beams and supported by 8 long steel pipe

posts at outside and 8 short steel pipe posts at inside both walls (Photos 69-76).

1.6. The Sealing Work:

The sealing work is continuing afterward the consolidation work from the south to

northward. This work is the finishing of restoration work by sealing the gap opening and
