Fr. Gregory, who is visiting us from Poland, is in need of
transportation from Aug. 12-Sept.3, 2019. I’m wondering if
anyone has a car that isn’t needed during that time or part of
that time. If you are willing to let Fr. Gregory use your car,
please call the parish office at: 508-393-2413. ~Fr. Jim

St. Rose of Lima Youth Ministry
19th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament
St. Rose of Lima Parish has always been privileged to serve
children and young adults from all of the 1500 households in
the parish community. Having our own professional, well
trained, pastoral staff is a very expensive venture but well
worth both the effort and the cost. In order to maintain the
level of care, service and Catholic formation, we began a
Youth Ministry Golf Tournament that provides funding for
some current expenses as well as saving for future needs!
I am asking all parents to take an interest in this year’s
Golf Tournament, scheduled for Tuesday, October 8th.
I hope golfers will sign-up early in order to “firm up” the
tournament and welcome individuals, doubles and 25
four-some's to make this event a great community
celebration of love and sacrifice for our children as well
as children everywhere. Look for additional information
in the gathering space.
Online Registration now Open! www.saintroseoflima.com Simply click on the golf button and register to play, to
attend the dinner, to sponsor the event or to make a
donation to our silent auction. Let’s make this year’s
tournament a big success for the benefit of our youth!
Registrations were due June 27th. If you have already registered your child
for Religious Education for the upcoming school year, thank you! For those
of you who have not, please take the time to fill out a form and return it to
the office. We are still in need of many registrations which are needed in
order to create classes! If your form has been misplaced, you may find
one in the Gathering Space, the Religious Education office or online at
www.saintroseoflima.com.
Teachers are needed: The Religious Education program at St. Rose is a
volunteer program. It is dependent on your willingness to share your
time, talent and faith with our children. We are in need of teachers for
elementary, middle school and high school classes. You do not need to
have a child in the Religious Education Program in order to be a
teacher.

on Thursday evenings at 6:15 PM in
the Church. In praying the Rosary, we
include the petitions and intentions of our parishioners, the
ministries of our parish, the prayers of our community and
world. By praying the Rosary, we reach out and offer spiritual
support to our brothers and sisters who are in need.
The Rosary Ministry is a great way for parishioners of all ages
to have an active part in our Church community.

Thinking About Becoming Catholic?
Are you interested in learning more about the Catholic faith?
Have you ever thought about taking the next steps towards
becoming Catholic? If so, the RCIA program is for you.
The RCIA program is an accessible and welcoming way to take
a look at the bigger picture about God, Jesus, the Bible, the
Christian story and the Catholic Church. Attendees meet in a
casual environment with others who are exploring the Catholic
faith to understand more about the basic message of Christ and
the mission of the Church.
The program begins in the Fall and meets weekly in the Family
Life Center. If you have questions, or would like to register,
please contact Theresa Fugardi at [email protected] or
508-393-2413.
Volleyball Update
Congratulations to both Team A and
Team B on making their way to the
semifinals and finals. After a long-fought
game, Team B lost in the final round to
St. Bridget’s of Millbury. Over the past month and a half,
St. Rose was represented by two teams with over 30 teenagers.
Once again, a huge thank you to our amazing coaches
Paul Sullivan and Steve Herdman who led our volleyball teams
this amazing season.
Families
“Those who have deep spiritual aspirations should
not feel that the family detracts from their growth
in the life of the Spirit, but rather see it as a path
which the Lord is using to lead them to the heights
of mystical union.”
.
~Pope Francis
