LIGHTHOUSE KIOSK HIGHLIGHT!“Confirmation: The Sacrament of Evangelization
and Martyrdom”!!
Today there is oftentimes a misconception of what the Sacrament of Confirmation is actually for or how it affects our lives. In this talk, Dr. Brant Pitre invites us to better understand the tremendous graces
and calling received through this sacrament. He points to various passages in scripture which provide a historical foundation and, through bold witness, challenges us to willingly surrender our lives to Christ. Dr. Brant Pitre is a professor of Sacred Scripture at Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans, LA. Pick up this CD at the Lighthouse Media kiosk today!!
CD OF THE WEEK!“Jesus the Bridegroom: The Greatest Love Story
Ever Told” by Dr. Brant Pitre!!
Dr. Brant Pitre is an enthusiastic and engaging speaker who regularly lectures throughout the country. In this stunning talk, Dr. Pitre applies his knowledge of the Jewish roots of Christianity to the very heart of the
Gospel: the love of Christ. You will learn what it really means to have a “personal relationship” with Jesus Christ as Lord, Savior, and Bridegroom.!!
“One of the most clear, intelligent, and passionate explanations of salvation history I have ever heard! God's covenant relationship with humanity is revealed beautifully!” Christopher, Bethlehem, PA!
“This talk touched my heart! Anyone who feels they don't WANT to go to Mass should listen and come to understand what is: ‘Happy are those called to the supper of the Lamb!’”! Donna, College Station, TX!

From the Catechism of the Catholic Church
CCC 787: From the beginning, Jesus associated his dis-ciples with his own life, revealed the mystery of the
Kingdom to them, and gave them a share in his mis-
sion, joy, and sufferings.215 Jesus spoke of a still more
intimate communion between him and those who
would follow him: "Abide in me, and I in you. . . . I am
the vine, you are the branches."216 And he proclaimed
a mysterious and real communion between his own
body and ours: "He who eats my flesh and drinks my
blood abides in me, and I in him."217
CCC 788: When his visible presence was taken from them, Jesus did not leave his disciples orphans. He
promised to remain with them until the end of time; he
sent them his Spirit.218 As a result communion with
Jesus has become, in a way, more intense: "By com-
municating his Spirit, Christ mystically constitutes as
his body those brothers of his who are called together
from every nation."219

“LORD, TEACH US TO PRAY”
How often do we feel like our prayer is a one-sided
conversation? Join us as we share faith and
fellowship while learning about one of the most
ancient forms of Christian prayer. Using the
beautiful Formed video Lectio: Prayer, we learn
how praying with Scripture can be a powerful way
to enter into an authentic dialogue and intimate
encounter with God. We meet every other
Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Francis
Center. Our next gathering is Thursday, May 3.
For more information, please call the parish office
at 864-7686 or email us at [email protected].
