Dear St. John’s Family (Church and School),
As one family of Faith, Love and Hope, I thank God for each of you to be a part of my priestly life during 3 years of serving you and Jesus Christ who is living in you. I thank God for many blessings that I have received from you: your faithful pray-ers, your loving cares and supports, your good examples of serving and living out the Gospel’s values day by day. I pray to God for you all, so that you and your loved ones continue building your life vocation as Christian families with Sacraments, as one great St. John’s Catholic Church in the Diocese of Oakland, as one blessed Nation under God in protecting human
dignity and the life of each person.
Please, pray for me to be more faithful in my priestly vocation to continue serving God and His people in my new assigned parish on Nov. 1 at St. Francis Assisi Church in Concord, with my new Pastor, Fr. Ismael Gutierrez. If you have a chance
to cross by, you are very much welcome! Please, let me know ahead of time.
Many Big Thanks to all the Staff’s members, all Coordinators and all the ministries’ members of St. John’s Family. Without your selfless love and faithful services, I cannot fulfill my given ministries well. Thank you so much to many friends who
shared and journeyed with me throughout the 3 years!
A special Great Thanks to you, Fr. Sergio Lopez, my spiritual Pastor, for your helpful guidance and wonderful support to my priestly vocation as a parochial priest here in St. John’s. I truly appreciate your holy spiritual life as a Big Brother
Priest to live with and to work together. Great Thanks to your kindness and goodness, Fr. Sergio!
May our loving God and His endless mercy bless you all with abundant graces and love. May our Lord Jesus Christ bless each of you with good health, peaceful mind, joyful heart and holy soul. May the Spirit of God protect you from the Evil

We thank Fr. Joseph for being with us for the past 3 years in our parish. Thank you for humbly and spiritually serving our
community of St. John the Baptist. May The Lord bless you in your next priestly ministry as Parish Vicar at San Francisco of
Asis Church in Concord. May He guide you in the best way to serve the People of God of our Diocese.

This month we celebrated the feast of Holy
Rosary by praying the missionary rosary. Each
mystery we prayed for a different region of the
world. We invite you to continue to pray the
rosary with your family.

WELCOME FATHER EMILE YUBAN. Join us in
giving a welcome to Fr. Emile Yuban to our church
community. Fr. Emile will be residing at the rectory
and assisting Fr. Sergio in ministry; effective Novem-
ber 1st. He is a student priest at Berkeley School of
Theology and a native of Cameroon. Please say hello
to him when you see him around our grounds.
