The code is a two-part document describingminimum requirements for security of ships andports. Part A provides mandatory requirements.Part B provides guidance for implementation.

The ISPS ode applies to ships on internationalvoyages !including passenger ships" cargo shipsof #$$ &T and upwards" and mobile o'shoredrilling units( and the port facilities serving such

ships.
