Sea Cloud • Sea Cloud ii
The best sailing destinationsin the Caribbean
January 2020 to April 2020
sailing cruisesExperience the sea beneath full sails
Specials included:Excursions and/or
all beverages

A perfect break from winter
Visiting the Caribbean on one of the Sea Clouds
is a truly special experience: With the trade winds
prevailing, a perfect sailing area awaits – on a wind-
jammer that is still traditionally sailed by hand. You will
instantly feel at home among friends on board “your
private yacht” and, pampered by the attentive crew,
you can look forward to a very intensive experience of
freedom under sails. Because in the Caribbean more
than anywhere else, you can while away entire days
exclusively on deck – with the turquoise-coloured sea
almost within your grasp.
Off the beaten tourist track, the two sailing yachts an-
chor in small bays and harbours. An excursion across
the island in a small group of like-minded people; a
stroll by yourself ashore; or rather a dip in the sea
and a lazy day on a beach? You, and only you, decide
what your perfect break away should be – whatever
you choose, there are many extras to enjoy that are
already included in the price of your cruise.
“St Lucia is one of my favourite destinations in the Caribbean. Here, we are berthed right off the Pitons – a fantastic sight!”

Relaxed pleasures
With creativity, our chefs devise exclusive
treats on the highest level. The small
number of guests allows complementing
menus and buffets with local products.
In this sailing area, the Caribbean flair
and rich colours are reflected also in the
culinary diversity – whether that is fresh
fish, exotic spices, or the influence of
the Creole cuisine. So, relax and enjoy
the many delicacies on deck during a
barbecue or at the lunchtime buffet.
66
Sailor’s paradise par excellence
Small hideaway bays, palm-fringed beaches, and rustic beach bars: We drop anchor in places
that draw the smaller yachts from all over the world. The highlight of the 2020 winter season
is the joint sailing of the Sea Cloud and the Sea Cloud ii from the Virgin Islands to
St Barths, where the legendary Bucket Regatta takes place in March. At this exceptional sailing
event, up to 30 luxury yachts compete against each other under racing conditions – with you
in the front-row seat!
77
Immerse yourself in the Caribbean
The Caribbean also reflects a truly
special attitude to life. Crystal-clear
waters beckon to go swimming or
snorkelling; and a barbecue on the
beach or aboard the yacht promises
relaxed enjoyment. For water enthusi-
asts, snorkelling equipment, standup
paddle boards and towable tubes are
provided for fun activities from the
beach or the ship.
88
The green side of the Antilles
Volcanic lakes, waterfalls and gardens full of tropical plants: On the southern islands
of the Antilles and the Grenadines, the Caribbean shows varied scenic features and its lush,
green nature. During our excursions into the outback, you can discover the diversity of the
different islands. The abundance of exotic blossoms and the scent of spices will most
certainly enchant you.
99
Every island a new treasure box
While on St Lucia, the green volcanic
spires of the two Pitons almost regally
greet approaching ships from afar,
the natural beauty Dominica holds back
a little, yet fascinates with its lush
national parks – one of them even a
UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site.
And Grenada carries its name “Spice
Island” for a good reason: Its air is
heavy with aromas of cloves, ginger
and nutmeg.
10
Pure vitality
Any trip to the Caribbean has its emotional moments. Among the most moving is without
doubt experiencing the infectious joie de vivre of its people. Where catching rythms, their sunny
temperament and zest for life amalgamate into the incomparable Caribbean vitality, the traveller
soon becomes a friend. Discover the Creole culture together with us – colonial heritage and
symbol of Caribbean diversity.
1111
Dream destination Cuba
This island is a myth and a place of
longing, bather’s paradise, and for
many still the cliché of road cruisers
and cigars. Cuban life has a rythm
quite of its own, and Havana’s
morbid charme goes hand in hand
with the originality of this region.
Experiencing the nature, culture
and infectious vitality, it is virtually
impossible not to succumb to Cuba’s
fascination.
1212
The natural treasures of Costa Rica and Panama
The day passage through the Panama Canal takes you to the natural treasures of Central America.
Panama’s and Costa Rica’s countless national parks and nature reserves are renowned for
their biodiversity. What’s more, dream beaches beckon in the Coiba National Park and on
the Pearl Islands; and the first-class sailing area off the Pacific Coast entices. A visit to
Panama City with its twinkling skyline and the colonial heritage of the Casco Viejo makes for
an exciting contrast.
1313
Maya culture in Mexico and Belize
The ancient Maya civilisation, which
dates back some 5,000 years and
ended with the Spanish conquest of
Central America, remains a mystery
to this day. What remains are stone
witnesses like imposing stepped
pyramids and stone reliefs. We take
you to three strongholds of these
ancient times: Altun Ha and Lamanai
in Belize, as well as Tulum, the only
Maya site by the sea in Mexico.
