Sacred Heart Catholic Church Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time–January 28, 2018
Reflection from the Pastor:
This week we celebrate the annual Catholic Schools Week. It is a time to recall the
great blessings that Catholic schools offer not only to parents, but to the entire parish
community. Catholic schools and weekly religious education
in the Parish School of Religion (PSR) are part of the parish’s
mission to evangelize and catechize both young and old.
Each of us has the joy and an obligation to contribute to the
mission of evangelization, because the love of Christ cannot
be kept to oneself; love must be shared.
Here at Sacred Heart and throughout the diocese of Wichita, tuition-free Catholic
education is made available to all parishioners who practice a stewardship way of
life by contributing a sacrificial and proportionate tithe of their time, talent and
treasure. The above-average weekly Mass attendance in our parishes compared with
other dioceses as well as the large numbers of vocations to the priesthood point to
the success of Catholic education not only with the young, but with all ages in the
parish. Thank you for your support of Catholic education here at Sacred Heart!
