Walter’s Word – Association

This month’s word of “Word-Association” is “Open.” What does that make you think of? Open door; open ended; open for business; open book… The word can be used to describe a lot of things. How about, open calendar? Or is your New Year already filling up? Here’s one that applies to some churches in our Association – open pulpit. We currently have 8 churches that are searching for a pastor. So would you please keep them in prayer, they are listed here in the newsletter. Pray for the search committees in these churches as they serve in this very important time for their church.

Now, here’s one more – open heart. Not as in surgery, but as in allowing God to speak to you personally about the New Year. An open heart so that as God leads you to serve in any capacity, you will be ready and willing. And remember, whether it is from behind a pulpit, in front of a classroom, or giving a cup of cold water to someone in need, serving the Lord comes in a multitude of possibilities.

Here’s another one, we have a new Cowboy Church that will be starting February 3rd, “Branded Cowboy Church” they will be meeting at Son Valley Ranch, Mike Whitfield is pastor. Pray for them as they get started.
