We would like to welcome our new residents to the community and thank our residents for continuing to call us home. December is a month of holidays. Season’s Greetings to all our residents celebrating this month.

Special DeliveryDuring the holiday season, the office will gladly accept packages delivered to you. However, we ask that you please pick them up promptly, as our space in the office is limited. The office cannot be held responsible for your packages. We cannot sign for packages.

ParkingThe holidays are such a special time of year. We hope your friends and family will share them with you. Please be courteous to your neighbors and remember to advise guests of parking. Thank you for your cooperation during this busy time of year.

Time of Giving With gifts and packages being exchanged this month, there will be a lot of additional trash. We are happy we have such generous residents. After the festivities, please be sure all trash is properly disposed of in a bag and taken directly to the dumpster. All boxes should be broken down and flattened when possible. Thanks for one of the best presents management could ask for this season—you taking the time to keep our community beautiful.

Keep Gifts SafeGift giving is a wonderful part of the holidays. Make sure your gifts make it to the right person. Don’t make it easy for someone to steal your presents. Wherever you are, remember “out of sight – out of mind.” Keep your gifts and valuables out of eyesight and away from your windows and sliding doors. Remember to lock your doors and windows. If your packages are in the car, hide them in the trunk. And give yourself the best gift of all—a happy and safe holiday season.

Fire Prevention A fire extinguisher is an absolute necessity in any home or office. While there’s a good chance the extinguisher will sit on the wall for years, collecting dust, it could end up saving your property and even your life. Invest in a home/kitchen extinguisher and keep it in the kitchen where most domestic fires begin. In the event you need to use the extinguisher, pull out the safety pin, depress the operating lever, and aim it at the fire. Hopefully you will never have to use it, but it is always better to be safe than sorry.

Let There Be LightWinter is here and it is getting darker earlier. We want to keep our property well lit, so please let us know if any light on the community grounds is burned out. Call the office to report it and we will replace the bulb as soon as possible. As always, thanks for your cooperation.

Oh Christmas TreeMany Americans opt for live trees at the holidays, but artificial trees definitely have their benefits. They are less likely to catch fire and are environmentally kinder. Regardless of which tree you choose to decorate your home with this year, please follow these tips:• Use small lights. The heat from bigger lights may

damage the tree or start a fire.• Keep live trees watered. The dryer the tree is

the more likely it is to catch fire.• Do not overload extension cords or outlets.• Keep paper ornaments and those made

of other flammable material away from decorative lights.

• Never use candles on your tree.• Turn off lights when you leave.
