THE CASE FOR
RPAA Smarter Way to Work
Consultation, Implementation, and Support
1 The Case For RPA
THEOVERVIEW
Clients look towards RPA solutions to increase productivity, efficiency, and to reduce the human error involved in manual data entry and repetitive business processes. Robots can be custom-built to automate processes that were once carried out by humans. These processes normally include repeti-tive, consistent, and manual effort. For example, a Data Entry Clerk manually enters customer invoice information into a spreadsheet then an Enterprise Resource Plan-ning (ERP) solution from various
channels — emails, portals, and other documents. An RPA solu-tion can combine all the data and create a spreadsheet that gets inputted into the ERP automati-cally in half the time.
Error-checking also provides an extra layer of oversight to the errors these robots tend to avoid compared to a person. The RPA would ensure that any classified data would be securely housed and protected within the compa-ny’s network and databases, not moved offshore as required by outsourced services.
The adoption of Robotics Process Automation (RPA) in companies has been increasing over the last few years. Gartner reports that by 2020, 75% of corporate controllers will be using RPA.

Advantages of RPA
IntroducingRPA
Faster ProcessThe Robot can complete a task at a faster rate than a data entry clerk, sometimes at half the time taken.
Better Data QualityReduce data entry errors by utilizing RPA, thereby im-proving the quality of your data.
ScalabilityUpscale or downscale with ease, according to your company’s needs.
Increased EfficiencyA robot can carry out multiple tasks at the same time.
ReliabilityWith RPA, you essentially have a worker that can work 24/7, without the fear of breaking down.
Reduced RisksRPA implementation is a low risk process due to its non-inva-sive implementation in com-parison to other IT projects.

OURSERVICESCrubiks specializes in RPA implementation and we offer end-to-end consulting and development services pre-implementation, all the way to hypercare and support.

RPA Implementation
Finding the best RPA solution for a company is oftentimes a time-con-suming and complex process. This is especially true for most companies who have no prior experience with RPA solutions or selecting a vendor. This robot may become a long-tenured member of the team, and a long-term investment that should meet all the needs of the business.
Crubiks can support this undertaking with a thorough understanding of the current-state of the business, then by identifying the vendor solu-tion that meets the business requirements for the future-state process automation. The right vendor solution will provide ease of scalability, security, privacy, and compatibility.
One of the main draws to RPA is its capability to scale the solution to processes across many different areas of the business. Crubiks can help structure and formalize the RPA solution in various departments. We also offer hypercare and support to enable business continuity by pro-viding services to troubleshoot or handle any changes or modifications that are needed post-implementation.
Once the best RPA vendor solution has been selected for implementa-tion, Crubiks can support the end-to-end implementation of the RPA solution.
RPA ImplementationProcess The implementation starts with the
DISCOVERY process, where a high-level
analysis of the RPA needs are assessed.
Next phase is the REQUIREMENTS gathering and analysis process
where both the functional
business, as well as the
technical needs, are captured.
Once all stakeholders sign-off on the
agreed plan, the DESIGN phase begins.
This is where the technical architecture is
defined according to the identified
and functional requirements.
Upon successful validation of
each process, the solution is
transitioned to OPERATIONS
and managed by the business.
The PLANNING process engages
all impacted stakeholders to create a
project execution plan and strategy.
The next phase takes an agile-approach where
the RPA solution is developed in iterations of:
CREATE/BUILD, TEST, and VALIDATE.
The Case for RPA 6
RPA BUSINESS CASEIN INSURANCE“The relationship between tech-
nology and people has to change in the future for the better, and I think RPA is one of the great tools to enable that change.”
The global insurance market has grown from year-to-year, with Swiss Re Institute predicting growth in Life Insurance, P&C, and Health at an estimated 3-5% through 2019. Their estimated insurance net in-come growth was 23%, up from 14% in 2017.
- Professor Leslie Willcocks -Professor of Work, Technology and Globalisation
at London School of Economics
There are processes in the insurance industry that can be improved upon, such as: - Customer Service backlogs- Data Entry Errors- Time spent on repetitive manual tasks such as data entry- Data Quality
These types of risks can be miti-gated by automating some of the processes involved. A number of dif-ferent insurance companies around the globe have seen positive returns as a result of RPA implementation.
