(New King James Version)

6. Ecclesiastes 7:1

A good name is better than precious ointment, and the day of death than the day of one’s birth;

7. 2 Corinthians 12:9

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

8. Hebrews 10:31

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

9. Mark 8:38

For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.

10. Hebrews 12:1-2

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

ROYAL AMBASSADOR’S MORNING BIBLE READINGS

Tuesday, June 27 Read: 1 Samuel 2:26. Samuel grew in stature. That means taller. He grew in favor with both the Lord and men. That means both the Lord liked him and men liked him. Read: Luke 2:52. The Lord Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man. So He was liked by both God and man too! Would you like to be liked by both God and man? I sure would! The Lord tells us how this can happen in Proverbs 3:3-4. Since time is short in the morning, “I’m going to write down His answer to this question right here: “Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart, and so find favor and high esteem in the sight of both God and man.” Since God gives the answer here, it is true. We must always long to know and tell the truth and to have mercy as we tell the truth.

Wednesday, June 28

Read 1 Samuel 3:1-11. As you read this, a couple things can be seen. Frist, the Word of the Lord was rare at that time. Second, Samuel was very good about answering when someone was calling him. When he heard his name called in the night, he ran to Eli, the priest whom he was supposed to serve. Samuel ran to Eli 3 times before Eli realized that the Lord was calling him. Eli told Samuel that the next time he heard his name being called, he should respond by saying “Speak Lord, for your servant hears.”

During camp this week, God wants to speak to you. In order for you to hear, you must be listening for the Lord Jesus voice at all times. The time Samuel heard Him was when he was in bed. You may hear Him any time this week. The best thing you can do is to always be listening! So where will you be when He speaks? Put your ears on and be listening at all times!

ROYAL AMBASSADOR’S MORNING BIBLE READINGS

Thursday, June 29

Read John 6:5-14. In this story, we learn that the Lord Jesus can use whatever we have to turn it into a big blessing. One way we support missionaries in many places is by giving what we have to the Lord so He can use it for His wonderful purposes. A disciple told Jesus that a young boy had 5 barley loaves and 2 small fishes. Then the disciple said, “But what is that among so many (we’re told 5000 people!) Jesus took what the boy was willing to give, gave thank to God for the gift, and then fed everyone there. Actually the Bible saysthey had as much fish as they wanted. Then they had 12 baskets full left over.

So what do you have that the Lord Jesus has need of? You may think that what you have is only a little bit, but if you have a heart to give and place what you have in His hands. He will do wonderful things with what you give.

How do you think the boy felt after he saw 5,000 people fed with what he gave. What will you experience in your life when you are willing to give your all for the Lord Jesus? You would be more happy in giving than you ever would be in receiving!

Friday, June 30

Read Matthew 7:24-27. Jesus tells that if we hear His says and put them into practice, it will be like we have built our house on a rock. So when Jesus tells us to do something, we need to do it. He will see us through the greatest storms.

He says that when we hear His sayings but don’t do them, it is like we are building our house on sand. When the storms come, the house will fall. Many people like parts of the Bible, but do not like other parts of the Bible. The Bible, God’s Word, is true in all parts. Some parts seem easy, and other parts seem very hard. When all parts are believed and accepted, it is like it is a very solid foundation. If we only accept the sweet parts and do not accept the hard, it is almost like the Bible is filled with holes making it like sand. When difficulty comes, our sand foundation will wash away and we will fall. As you go home, please remember that we must both hear and obey God’s Word in order to experience a solid life in both the good times and in the stormy times!
