Rotork Australia Site Services
All Rotork Australia offices have modern workshop facilities offering full service and overhaul support for all Rotork products including large fluid power actuators.
Our services include adaption design and machining to mount actuators onto new and existing field valves. We can design and fit custom panels and controls for our fluid power actuators. Skilled in-house Rotork technicians also design and build local and remote control systems to client specifications.
Customer training is offered at our facilities where we have products to provide a complete hands on experience.
Emergency and Planned Site Work
Available for all Rotork actuators, in all areas including hazardous environments. Planned response for all types of actuator work, including installation, commissioning, upgrading, connection and installation of bus communication systems, troubleshooting and repair of damaged or deteriorating assets.
Actuator Overhauls
After a long service life customers may prefer their actuators to be completely overhauled rather than replacing with new. In our workshops we can completely strip and rebuild actuators, refurbishing them to their original state.
Stock Actuators and Spare Parts
We keep a large stock of actuators and parts at our facilities throughout Australia, providing a fast track delivery service when required.
Preventative Maintenance
We provide scheduled annual maintenance contracts, tailored exclusively for the client's plant, to enhance the integrity of actuators and their associated valves. We tailor maintenance programmes depending on the type of actuators, the availability of asset information and the criticality of the plant to maximise up time whilst minimising operating costs.
Our service teams have extensive experience in field commissioning, overhaul & repair of actuators in the field and provide a complete asset management service. The technicians are highly skilled and trained on all our products including those installed in hazardous environments such as offshore.
Retrofitting Actuators to Existing Valves
We have extensive experience in fitting actuators to valves, penstocks and dampers that are already installed as part of existing plant. Whether customers are replacing obsolete actuators, changing power sources or motorising manual valves, we offer a tailor made solution to meet customers’ specific requirements. Rotork can select and size to replace non Rotork actuators.
Shutdown Outages
We can support customers in making sure that all their actuators are fully operational and that they meet tight shutdown deadlines. We are capable of servicing many actuators simultaneously to ensure that customers make the most of their plant shutdown time.
Factory Fitting of Actuators to New Valves
The careful assembly of valve and actuator is critical to ensure that an automated valve performs correctly and reliably. Our workshop can fit, configure and test actuators onto valves. We also issue a pre commissioning certificate to verify correct function.

5Redefining Flow Control
Rotork Australia is a Rotork Fluid Systems Centre of Excellence for stocking, applications engineering and technical support.
Product Ranges include:
CP/GP/GH Range - CP/GP (pneumatic) and GH (hydraulic) are scotch yoke actuators, designed to provide a rotary, quarter-turn movement for either on/off or modulating duty. The rugged design is available in either double-acting and spring-return versions.
Skilmatic EH/SI Range - The EH/SI range are self-contained electro-hydraulic actuators available for both quarter-turn and linear applications. They are suitable for on/off, modulating and emergency shutdown duties and are compatible with all common bus systems.
GO Range - The GO range of pipeline actuators are designed to use pipeline gas as the motive power source. They utilise our robust GH and RH quarter-turn prime movers and are field proven in installations around the world. Control configurations are available to meet virtually any operational requirements.
Compact Range - GT Rack & Pinion, K-TORK Vane and RCR scotch yoke, single & double-acting pneumatic actuators.
Heavy-duty valve actuators represent Rotork’s traditional core business – a sector in which the company has become the largest independent manufacturer in the world.
Product Ranges include:
IQ Range - The world's most advanced, inteligent, valve actuator range including the multi-turn, quarter-turn and linear modulating variants. The IQ3 features legendary innovations including Rotork’s unique double-sealed enclosure, ‘non-intrusive’ wireless commissioning, data-logging, bus compatibility, multilingual display and predictive maintenance capabilities.
AWT Range - Sharing the same heritage and mechanical robustness as the IQ Pro actuator, the AWT is engineered for simplified control duties.
Schischek Range - Compact range of explosionproof actuators, sensors, switches and control systems.
ROMpak - A compact direct-drive, part-turn actuator with Bluetooth and bus compatibility.

Rotork Gears is a specialist supplier of gearboxes, adaptions and accessories to the international valve and actuator industry with manufacturing plants worldwide.
Rotork Gears provide the widest range of valve gearboxes in the world, they are designed to withstand the harsh challenges of various environments, including subsea and nuclear.
Product Ranges include:
Subsea Range - The WGS range of quarter-turn operators are designed for heavy-duty subsea applications. The operators are equipped with membrane or piston type pressure compensators to balance the pressure and allow them to work at any depth.
Other ranges - Rotork Gears manufacture a large range of multi-turn and quarter-turn gearboxes in aluminium, stainless steel and cast iron suitable for motorisation or manual use. Gearboxes have IP67, IP68 or continuous submersion enclosure ratings (with options for aggressive environments) and can be supplied with pre-machined drive sleeves & adaption brackets.

With more than 50 years of extensive knowledge and experience, Rotork Process Controls has provided products and services worldwide for virtually every industrial valve actuator application.
Product Ranges include:
CVA Range - Designed for continuous modulating control in the process industries the CVA provides exceptional positioning and dynamic performance. CVA is the direct equivalent of pneumatic spring diaphragm actuators with advanced features that can be used for the precise controlling of control valves with very low power consumption and fail safe action on loss of power and signal. Actuator calibration, configuration and interrogation are performed non-intrusively using wireless Bluetooth® communications. Linear and quarter-turn outputs available.
CMA Range - Suitable for almost all linear, quarter-turn and rotary control valve and pump applications requiring exact position control and unrestricted continuous modulation.
GPSA Range - A smart actuator for the process industries that includes its own PI process controller. Linear and multi-turn outputs available.

Network Control
All Rotork actuators are compatible with a wide range of communication and process controls systems by including the appropriate option card. The actuator reports status feedback, via the field highway, to the overall plant control system (DCS or PLC) and valve control commands are actioned.
Our own Pakscan system compliments the open systems from Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, Modbus and DeviceNet. Innovative technology together with expert bus system knowledge ensures that Rotork can always provide the ideal solution for the control system.
Product Ranges include:
PakscanTM Range - The Pakscan system provides the vital link between valve actuator and supervisory control. It is an intelligent, reliable, high integrity, fast and easy to install network between field equipment and the control room. Wireless mesh network communication instead of hard cabling is an option.
The Pakscan system is explained in depth in PUB059-030.
Profibus® - Profibus is a leading international network protocol for high speed data automation and control communications. The Rotork Profibus DP interface card provides comprehensive control and feedback data about the valve and actuator.
Foundation Fieldbus® - Widely accepted for use in process control systems. It’s primary feature is the ability to distribute control away from the central DCS.
Modbus® - The most popular process communication protocol in use, with the widest acceptance and highest number of applied systems of any automation protocol.
DeviceNet® - An Open Network Standard for communication networks using the main features of CAN bus. The Rotork DeviceNet interface module provides easy access to actuator process control and feedback information.
HART® - (Highway Addressable Remote Transducer) is a process control communication protocol based upon the Bell 202 telephone communication standard and uses the FSK (frequency shift keying) principle.
