Ben reminded us how much fun you can have and how you can truly learn science by ‘doing’ rather than just by ‘reading’. As you’ll see from the photos taken on the night, we all got into the action and had a ball, especially learning about the interaction between milk fat and a surfactant (liquid soap) using food dyes to show the affects (was I listening or did I just copy this from PP Raymond’s Facebook post?). It was a lot of fun, and very informative. Last Couple of Weeks’ Service Activities It’s been a hectic couple of weeks out and about for many Strathfield Rotarians. Do You Know? TOLERANCEOFDIFFERENCESOccasionally there is a temptation tocriticise the laws, customs andtraditions of another country whichmayseemstrangeorcontrary toourown. In some instances illegalpractices or customs of one nationarecompletely lawfulandacceptableinanother. As members of an internationalorganisation dedicated to worldunderstandingandpeace, itbehoovesRotarians to exercise restraint injudging our Rotary friends andcitizens from other countries whentheirbehaviourseemsunusualtous.ARotarypolicyhas existed formorethan half a century relating to thisdilemma of internationalrelationships.Thestatement, adoptedin 1933, says that because it isrecognised that some activities and
