THE PRESIDENTIAL CROSS CHAT XRAY STEVE
As I sit here and compose this report I imaging that our Club members will,
by now, be at home with their feet up and a glass of something refreshing in
their hand trying to relax after Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning. I
also sincerely hope that they are patting themselves on the back and saying
– “WOW – what an incredible Town Fair!!!!”
All I have heard in the very brief time span since the Fair wrapped up last
night are praise and compliments on every aspect of the Fair.
To Rod Mackenzie and the Town Fair Convening Committee and to every
Rotarian and volunteer who took part in the running of the Town Fair a
very heartfelt thank you for a truly amazing effort to achieve amazing
results.
Just goes to show what a small band of dedicated people can achieve. The
big question now is how can we make it better next year??????
A big reminder - Sunday 9th

Toast to Australia - Steve
President Steve - Welcomed all visitors to the club for our town fair briefing night.
Ryla: Final stages being organised at the moment. This year, we will be sending 4 people
along. Final nominations and sponsorship being organised including from other clubs and the
individuals. Alan W is helping with transport to the pick up point. Bea will be attending ryla
under Linda's guidance.
Youth Exchange: Bea is heading to Dookie this weekend. Bea returns to Brazil mid January.
We ned to organise a suitable farewell.
Christmas Party 9th December - numbers are down at the moment - please let Geoff know if
you are gong, and how many kids and grand kids you are bringing!
Sergeant Roger fined all guilty parties...and innocent ones too.
Town Fair: Rod thanked the committee for their work this year. It is looking like the biggest town
fair we have ever run. The are more rides than ever, and a refined stall layout to get the most
out out of the site on the day. All attendees at tonight's meeting have signed in and recorded
their attendance.
Town Fair Safety meeting: There is a safety plan for the town fair, and this is in important part of
maintaining our good track record on safety. All Rotarians have a copy of the safety plan.
All jobs listed on the roster have job descriptions written up to describe roles on the day.
Sign in on the day, and always wear your safety vest. Radios are allocated to specific
members. Drinks and sunscreen are in the control tent. First aid direct to St Johns ambulance.
Raffle raised $70 won by Phil. Fines raised $38
