Speaker: Keith Nelson gave the introduction to our speaker, Sergei Plekhanov. He provided us with a fantastic overview of current Russian politics. We all left with a good inpression of a system changing with the pressures from a new, more powerful electorate.

Jeff Pierce: The Investment Philosophy of Warren Buffet

Learn about investment Strategy. At our August 9 meeting, Mr. Jeffery A. Pierce, VP Investments for Stifel, Nicolaus & Company in Newport Beach, will make a presentation on the "Investment Philosophy of Warren Buffett."  He will discuss what makes Mr. Buffett's philosophy unique and how his ideas can assist us in our own investment strategies. Included in the presentation is a comparison of Mr. Buffett's investment method with those commonly used by today's professional money matters. Jeff has a B.S. from Arizona State University, an MBA from UCI and over 30 years experience as a financial advisor. He is VP/Investments for Stifel, Nicolaus and Company, Inc. in Newport Beach.

This is a great opportunity to gain further knowledge about the investment process which adds to our ability to live a productive life and help others along the way.
