Principal for a Day One of the auction items offered at last year’s P&C Nautical Night was “Principal for the Day”- the opportunity for a student to be principal for a day. The lucky winners were brothers, Asher and Jesse E. How exciting! It was a very busy day indeed for these two principals – visiting classrooms, participating in important meetings with Alex, Ms Shaw, Vicki and myself and inspecting the school to inform Yianni of things that needed fixing.

It was definitely a lot of fun and great to have three principals running the school for the day! Thank you both for all your help Principal 2 & Principal 3!

Kindergarten Orientation 2020 A reminder that our Kindergarten Orientation Program, for those children commencing Kindergarten in 2020, is taking place on Thursday 12 September. If you haven’t already done so there is still time to enrol your child to commence Kindergarten in 2020. Please refer to our school website https://rosebay-p.schools.nsw.gov.au/about-our-school/enrolment.html for further information about enrolment or call us at 9371 4800. P&C News- Save the date

The P&C are very excited that our Father’s Day Movie Night is only a few weeks away on Thursday 5 September. Tickets and food orders are available for purchase on Flexischools. The cut-off date for pre-ordered food is Monday 2 September at 9pm.

We are in need of loads of volunteers to help set up, help during the night and at pack up time. Please email [email protected] if you are able to volunteer your time. As we have limited space, this event is for RBPS students and their dads/carers only. A great way for Mums to attend is to help during the night. Please see the poster for more details.

We have a Rose Bay PS Facebook Fundraising Page so head to the below link and LIKE us to stay up to date with our fundraising efforts and for event updates.

https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=302169420345249&ref=content_filter Nationally Consistent Collection of Data The Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) is an annual collection that counts the number of school students receiving an adjustment due to disability and the level of adjustment they are receiving to access education on the same basis as other students. All government and non-government schools in Australia are required to participate. The national data collection aims to lead to nationally consistent, high quality data that will enable schools, education authorities and governments to gain a more complete understanding of students who are receiving adjustments because of disability in schools in Australia and how best to support them. Protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all of our students and families is essential. Personal details such as student names or other identifying information will not be provided. All data will be submitted by the 16th August 2019. Parents can read more about this process at https://docs.education.gov.au/documents/nationally-consistent-collection-data-school-students-disability-public-information-notice.
