I hope you have all had a lovely rest, ready to hit the ground running. This term we will be busy with; Transition, Upper Division go on their excursion to Coffs Harbour, Lower Division attend Thalgarah, school swimming will happen in weeks 7 and 8, an Alliance technology day, Safety Day, School play, Presentation day and lots of super learning! We had a wonderful last week in term 3, celebrating footy colours day and participating in our first Digital Technology day run by the student leaders from Drummond Memorial Public School. The students along with their coordinating teachers, Mr Williams and Mrs Craven worked together with Mr Levins from ACARA to develop a full day of learning based around Digital Technology. Students learnt how to create interactive projects using the makey makey kits, code their own game, sort LEGO and code dance and movement. Our students and teachers enjoyed learning lots of new skills using digital technology. Thank you to all the students from Drummond for a wonderful day sharing your knowledge of technology. We look forward to doing this again with our Alliance schools later in the term. Next weekend 26 October is the Thunderbolts Festival. Our students will be walking in the parade. More information regarding meeting times and place will be sent home once more information is received. The P&C will need as many helpers as they can. Remember many hands make light work. This Wednesday 16 October, is our P&C meeting at 5:30pm. Please come along and take part in helping our school continue to grow and thrive. Please remember students are not to be dropped off to school prior to 8:30am. This week I have included some ideas for outdoor learning you can do at home on a separate page for the fridge. You Can Do It This term our You Can Do It focus is Resilience. Emotional Resilience means knowing how to stop yourself from getting extremely angry, down, or worried when something badhappens. It means being able to control your behaviour when you are very upset so that you bounce back from difficulty and return to work or play.

TERM 4 WEEK 1 - 15 OCTOBER 2019

Welcome back to a very busy term 4! I hope you have all had a lovely rest, ready to hit the ground

running.

This term we will be busy with; Transition, Upper Division go on their excursion to Coffs Harbour,

Digital Technology day run by the student leaders from Drummond Memorial Public School.

The students along with their coordinating teachers, Mr Williams and Mrs Craven worked together with

Mr Levins from ACARA to develop a full day of learning based around Digital Technology.

sort LEGO and code dance and movement. Our students and teachers enjoyed learning lots of new

skills using digital technology. Thank you to all the students from Drummond for a wonderful day

sharing your knowledge of technology. We look forward to doing this again with our Alliance schools

later in the term.

More information regarding meeting times and place will be sent home once more information is

received. The P&C will need as many helpers as they can. Remember many hands make light work.

This Wednesday 16 October, is our P&C meeting at 5:30pm. Please come along and take part in

helping our school continue to grow and thrive.

You Can Do It

This term our You Can Do It focus is Resilience. Emotional Resilience means knowing how to stop yourself from getting extremely angry, down, or worried when something ‘bad’ happens. It means being able to control your behaviour when you are very upset so that you bounce back from difficulty and return to work or play.
