Last Time Against Opponent: River beat the Panthers 8-0 in 2012 and 2011.
NOTES about Today’s Game: River beat Perrysburg 4-1 on Saturday. Elinsky had her 5th
hat trick and her
10th
multi-goal game of the season against Perrysburg. Killeen scored River’s 4th goal 49 seconds into the start
of the second half off of a deflected throw-in from 18 yards out. Bennett worked with Elinsky and was credited
with 2 assists. The River JV (4-7-2) lost 1-0 to Perrysburg’s JV.
Elyria Catholic (7-1-3) beat Independence on Monday 3-1. Elyria Catholic has only one loss this year to
Gilmour Academy 1-2. Last year EC lost to Hawken in the D3 Regional Final.
River Boys Soccer Update: The RRBS (9-1-1) lost to Akron St Vincent St Mary (1-2) on Monday. River’s lone
goal was a Jacob Wischmeier and Trent Newby give and go that Newby fired past the keeper. The JV game
ended up 0-0. The next RRBS game is away at Elyria Catholic in a tough WSC match on Wednesday,
September 25th, JV@5pm, V@7pm and then back home the following Wednesday (10/2/13) against Lakewood.
