I don’t know anybody else who is coming and I am worried it will be cliquey Some people will have been before and some will be new – if you care about the music you wont be left out. Is there food We usually have some sort of food and drink outlet but you are welcome to bring packed lunches. There are lots of takeaways and cafes nearby and water is always available. My friends and parents want to see me play.

Good! Tickets for the Rockshop Final Showcase – The Big Night Out are on sale at the ticketoffice 01273 709709 www.Brightondome.org The event always sells out so don’t leave it too late.

My Mum/Dad/Aunty want to come and watch during the week.Relatives are most welcome to vist the Brighton Dome Foyer Bar which is open for coffee every day; They can also contact you at any time on the Rockshop hotline. You can use this to call them free. However we discourage people from watching workshops and rehearsals as this can be distracting for you and the other musicians.

I am not yet 14 but I want to comeWe do sometimes accept musicians who are a few months younger than the age limit but you need to share this note important note with your parents/carers.Your child may be a talented musician but may not have the maturity to cope with the freedoms that the Rockshop gives - please remember that this is not a ‘kids club’.Whilst the young people are working with a large team of musicians and Dome staff we do not insist that they stay in the building – we believe that making music will keep them with us and we do monitor their whereabout,s but if they want to pop off to the shops they are free to do so. Please call Pippa Smith (see below) before buying your Rockshop ticket.

What happens after I have bought my Rockshop week ticket from the ticket office (01273 709709)The ticket office will give us your email or address and you will get a form from us which you must fill in and return – we need to know what you play or if you are a vocalist and what sort of music you like so we can design the Rockshop that suits everyone,

I still need to talk to someone Call Pippa Smith 01273 260820 or email [email protected]
