HYBRID BUILDING IN TETUÁN, MADRID // ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN 8 / ART CENTER + MARKET + DWELLINGS

[ ES ] - El proyecto consiste en el diseño de un edi-ficio híbrido en el distrito de Tetuán en Ma-drid, que funcione como centro de creación artística, mercado y viviendas.- El objetivo principal es conseguir la relación de programas diferentes integrados en un centro de producción artística de primer ni-vel abierto a los ciudadanos.- La “grieta” del edificio crea un espacio que permite la conexión entre exterior y el inte-rior. El edificio se percibe como un recorrido en torno a esa grieta o vacío central.

[ EN ]- The aim of the project is the design of a hy-brid building containing the functions of art center, market and dwellings in the distric of Tetuan in Madrid.- The main objective is to get the relation of very different functions, integrated into a metropolitan art center, open to citizens and artists.- The “crack” of the building creates a space that allows the connection between outside and inside. The building is perceived as a pro-menade around the empty central space.

[ dE ]- Das Ziel des Entwurfs ist die Gestaltung ei-nes Hybridgebäudes im Stadtviertel Tetuan in Madrid, das einen Kunstzentrum, einen Mar-kt und Wohnungen enthält. - Das Hauptziel ist, die Beziehung zwischen sehr verschiedenen Funktionen zu erreichen, und die Schaffung eines Metropolkunstzen-trums für Bürger und Künstler. - Der “Spalt” des Gebäudes erlaubt eine Ver-bindung zwischen außen und innen. Das Ge-bäude ist als eine Promenade rund um den leeren zentralen Raum wahrgenommen.

FISH MARKET IN ESSAOUIRA, MOROCCO // ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN 5 / FISH MARKET + MARKET + PUBLIC SPACE

[ ES ]- El proyecto consiste en el diseño de una lon-ja y mercado para la ciudad de Essaouira, en Marruecos.- El proyecto tiene dos objetivos claros. Por un lado, la mejora de la conexión y el espacio público existente entre la ciudad antigua y el puerto, y por otro el diseño de una lonja y un mercado modernos, adecuados a las necesi-dades de los pescadores y los vecinos.- El diseño incluye la creación de dos piscinas que se llenan y vacían, por la acción de las fuertes mareas de la costa atlántica.

[ EN ]- The aim of the design is the creation of a fish market and a public space for the city of Essaouira, in Morocco.- The project has two clear objectives. One one hand, improving the connection between the village and the harbour, and on the other hand, the design of a modern fish market, appropriate to the needs of fishermen and the people of Essaouira.- The design includes the creation of two pools that are filled and emptied by the ac-tion of the strong tides of the Atlantic Ocean.

[ DE ]- Das Ziel des Entwurfs ist der Aufbau eines Fischmarkts und eines öffentlichen Raums für Essaouira, in Marokko. - Das Projekt hat zwei klare Ziele. Zum einen, die Verbesserung der Verbindung zwischen dem Dorf und dem Hafen, und zum zweiten, die Gestaltung eines modernen und auf die Bedürfnisse der Fischer angemessenen Fisch-markts. - Das Entwurf beinhaltet die Schaffung von Bäder, die durch die Wirkung der starken Flu-ten des Atlantiks gefüllt und geleert werden.

COLLECTIVE DWELLINGS IN AMSTERDAM // ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN 6 / DWELLINGS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN AMSTERDAM

[ ES ]- El objetivo del proyecto es el diseño de 56 viviendas colectivas para jóvenes en el centro de la ciudad de Amsterdam.- Cada uno de los edificios está formado por 4 módulos independientes que contienen una vivienda por planta. Una estructura de plata-formas, abierta al exterior, une los distintos módulos y sirve como acceso, espacios comu-nes, y terraza de las viviendas.- Las viviendas tienen un espacio de doble al-tura de 4.60 metros, lo que permite un mejor aprovechamiento del espacio interior.

[ EN ]- The aim of the project is the design of 56 dwellings for young people in the city center of Amsterdam.- The buildings consist of 4 separate modules containing one dwelling in each floor. A struc-ture of platforms, open to the outside, joins the 4 modules and is used as access, common areas and private balcony. The facades are coated with vividly colored metal sheet- The apartments have a double height space of 4.60 meters, allowing a better use of inte-rior space.

[ DE ]- Das Ziel des Entwurfs ist die Entwicklung von 56 Wohnungen für junge Leute im Stadtmitte von Amsterdam. - Die Gebäude bestehen aus 4 getrennten Modulen, die eine Wohnung per Etage en-thalten. Eine nach außen geöffnete Struktur mit Plattformen ist mit den 4 Modulen ver-bunden und wird als Zugang, Gemeinschafts-raum und privater Balkon benutzt. - Die Wohnungen haben eine doppelte Höhe des Raums von 4,60 m, die eine bessere Nut-zung des Innenraums erlaubt.

LANDSCAPE CONNECTION IN BUSTARVIEJO, MADRID // URBAN PLANNInG 2 / URBAN PARK + FUTURE GROWTH areas

[ ES ]- Bustarviejo es un pequeño pueblo de la sierra de Madrid. El objetivo del proyecto es mejorar la forma en la que los habitantes dis-frutan de su entorno.- El proyecto plantea conectar los diferentes paisajes y áreas naturales que rodean al pue-blo, mediante el tratamiento de los caminos y espacios naturales y la creación de huertas para el disfrute de los vecinos.- El planeamiento urbano de las futuras zonas de crecimiento, se diseña conjuntamente con la propuesta de parque periurbano.

[ EN ]- Bustarviejo is a small village situated in Ma-drid’s mountains. The aim of this urban design is to improve the way inhabitants enjoy the nature.- The project connects the different lands-capes and natural areas that surround the village, by treating roads and natural spaces and creating gardens for the enjoyment of residents.- The urban planning of future growth areas, is designed in conjunction with the proposed urban park.

[ DE ]- Bustarviejo ist ein kleines Dorf in den Bergen von Madrid. Das Ziel dieses Entwurfs ist die Verbesserung der Beziehung zwischen Bewo-hnernund Natur. - Das Projekt verbindet die verschiedene Landschaften und Naturgebiete, die das Dorf umgeben, durch die Behandlung von Straßen und die Schaffung von Gärten für das Vergnü-genden Einwohner.- Die Stadtplanung der zukünftigen Wachs-tumsbereichen wird in Verbindung mit der vorgeschlagenen Park gestaltet.

PASSIVE HOUSE IN versaIlles, FRANCE // BIOCLIMATIC ARCHITECTURE / PROTOTYPE OF zero-energy HOUSE

[ ES ]- El objetivo del proyecto es diseñar una casa de consumo energético 0. Previamente, se hi-cieron análisis de soleamiento, temperatura y humedad, para la ciudad de Versalles. - Las fachadas este y sur están más abiertas para captar la energía del sol. La cubierta de paneles solares, orientada hacia el sur, tiene una inclinación de 30° (condiciones perfectas para los paneles). - Los vidrios de las ventanas tienen un factor de transmisión bajo para que no retengan energía en verano. Sin embargo, los vidrios del invernadero tienen un factor de transmi-sión alto para calentar la vivienda en invierno.

[ EN ]- The aim of this project is the design of a pas-sive house. In this context, the process star-ted with the analysis of the sun, temperature and humidity of the city of Versailles.- The east and south facades are more open to catch the sun. The solar roof has a 30° in-clination and it is oriented towards the sou-th,which are perfect conditions for the solar panels in the northern hemisphere.- The small windows have a low transmission factor so they don’t catch too much energy in summer, but the glasses of the greenhouse have a high transmission factor to heat the house in winter.

[ DE ]- Das Ziel des Projekts ist, ein Passivhaus zu entwerfen. Der Prozess begann mit der Analy-se von Sonne, Temperatur und Feuchtigkeit von Versailles, in Frankreich. - Die östlichen und südlichen Fassaden sind offener, um das Sonnenlicht zu bekommen. Das Haus hat zwei Etage so dass die heiẞe Luft durch die Fenstern auf dem Dachges-choss das Raum verlassen kann. Das Solar-dach hat eine 30° Neigung und es ist nach Süden orientiert.- Kleinen Fenstern haben einen niedrigen Übertragungsfaktor, damit sie nicht viele Energie im Sommer fangen.

The house has a greenhouse that works as a thermal controller. - In summer, the users can lower the blinds to block out the sun light. Avoiding the radiation and providing good ventila-tion should be enough to have a comfor-table temperature in this latitude. - In winter, floors and walls are design to be able to catch the sun during the day and release it at night.

renewal OF BARCELó THEATHER, MADRID // BUILDING TECHNOLOGY 3 / BUILDING SYSTEM AND STRUCTURAL DESIGN

[ ES ]- El objetivo del proyecto es el diseño de un nuevo sistema constructivo, para la renova-ción y cambio de uso del teatro Barceló, en Madrid.- El sistema de cimentación se ha resuelto con una pantalla de contención, que permite la creación de 3 plantas de sótano, para garaje.- El elemento más visible del diseño construc-tivo es una estructura de vigas de celosía, que cubren la gran luz del espacio central del cine. Estas grandes vigas están apoyadas en una se-rie de ménsulas con placa metálica.

[ EN ]- The aim of the architectural design is to create a new building system for the renova-tion and new use of the old Barceló Theater, in Madrid.- The foundation system has been solved with a diaphragm wall, which allows the creation of 3 underground floors for the parking lots.- The most important element of the cons-tructive design is a flat trusses structure, co-vering the great span of the central space of the cinema. These large beams are supported by several brackets with a metal plate.

[ DE ]Das Ziel des Entwurfs ist die Schaffung eines neuen Gebäudesystems für die Renovierung und Umnutzung des alten Theaters Barceló in Madrid. - Die Stiftungsystem wurde mit einer Mem-branwand gelöst, die die Erstellung von 3 Untergeschossen für Parkplätze ermöglicht. - Das wichtigste Element der konstruktiven Gestaltung ist eine flache Gitterstruktur, die die Spannweite des Raums des Kinos bedeckt. Diese großen Strahlen werden durch mehrere Klammern mit Stahlplatten getragen.
