  • CRISIS MANAGEMENT FUND

    • Support (Rs. 20,000) to 10,000 JLGs - Rs. 20 Cr.

    • CMF Distributed to 9,687 JLGs - Rs. 18.47 Cr.

    Why less distribution ?

    • Flood affected JLGs those does not get any other emergency flood assistance(Planning Board Livelihoods Package -11,000 JLGs, Food and AgricultureOrganization - 2,600 JLGs, UNDP 2,001 JLGs,)

    • At least 30% of their farm land should be damaged in flood

    • Major income source of family should be from farming

    • Special consideration was given to groups that could not payback theagriculture loan due to flood and SC/ST groups

    • Project component completed (Savings - Rs. 1.53 Cr.)

  • VULNERABILITY REDUCTION FUND• Support (Rs. 10,000) to 25,000 NHGs - Rs. 25 Cr.• VRF Distributed to 28,105 NHGs - Rs. 26 Cr.• Additional Amount - Rs. 1 Cr.

    Why additional amount ?• VRF based on the number of members affected by flood instead of giving a uniform amount of VRF to each NHGs.

    • Vulnerabilities of different NHGs are different - frequency of flood affected and number of members affected by flood.

    • VRF to NHGs in which Members are affected by flood twice

    • VRF to remaining NHGs that have availed RKLS loan & affected by flood -2018

    • 12,108 NHGs took Rs. 1 lakh loan through Resurgent Kerala Loan Scheme

    • 12,018 members are found vulnerable due to flood and they needed emergency support

    • Project component completed (Additional Amount - Rs. 1 Cr.)

  • SKILLING FOR WAGE EMPLOYMENT(YUVA KERALAM)

    • No modifications in the project component

    • Skill training to 10,000 youth and provide wage employmentfor youth in the flood affected area of Kerala

    • 40 Training agencies were identified and 10,000 targetsallocated to the agencies

    • First installment disbursed to 40 Agencies - Rs. 15 Cr.

    • Training Centre's are ready. Due to Covid-19, mobilization andtrainings are suspended

    • It is expected to commence trainings activities in the last weekof October 2020

  • SKILLING TO CONNECT TO WORK

    •No modifications in the project component•First Instalment for the training partner ASAP is released -

    Rs. 80.80 lakh•Set up a Training Centre in one CDS in every 152 blocks.

    Disbursed Rs. 2.10 lakh to each CDS - Rs. 3.19 Cr.

    •Training Centre established in 50 CDSs•Training will be started from first week of Nov. 2020.

  • SKILLING FOR SELF EMPLOYMENT (ARISE)

    • No modifications in the project component• Skill training to 50,000 candidates in the sectors like Plumbing,

    Electronic Repair, Electrical Work, Day Care, House Keeping,carpentry, masonry, Agriculture Labour, Data Entry, Laundry &Ironing etc.

    • Creating a team of multi task personnel skilled in multiple areas

    • Beneficiary selection is in process• Identified Training agencies

  • KERALA CHICKEN PROJECT

    • The aim of the Kerala Chicken project is to produce 5,00,000 broiler birds per day and attain 50% of the domestic market of broiler chicken

    Component Change in the Project

    • Started 12 outlets and 36 farms

    • 20 more outlets will be started in the month of October 2020

  • EGG VALUE CHAIN PROJECT• Project implemented as a pilot• A pilot study conducted by Kudumbashree in Payam, Ulikkal, Nedumangad, Aryad,

    Marrarikulam and Muhamma• Major findings of the pilot study;

    • Presently egg producers are getting good price at the locality.• The initial problems like lack of marketing opportunities were tackled by the producers by

    marketing their eggs in the name of organic.• The cost of production is very high. So it is very difficult to provide 6 rupees per egg to the

    producers.• It is very difficult to compete with other established brands in the market.

    • The project has been found to be not feasible and hence it was decided to drop the project.

    • The amount sanctioned in the project (Rs. 8 Cr.) will be utilized for giving CEF to CDS,implementing RKI EDP and ERP.

  • REBUILD KERALA INITIATIVE ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (RKIEDP)

    • SVEP model project - implementing in 14 flood affected blocks• Formation of 16,800 enterprises (farm, off farm & non farm sectors)• Identification and positioning of 300 MECs• 14 Block level committees formed• DPR & MEC and BNSEP Accountant selection - progressing• Rs. 53.06 Cr. Released to Block federations (Rs. 13.16 pending treasury)

    Additional CEF component for particularly vulnerable blocks• Kalpetta and Mananthawadi in Wayanad, Devikulam in Idukki, and Champakkulam and Veliyanad in

    Kuttanad region in Alappuzha are blocks that faced huge impacts during the floods and landslides

    • Prone to unduly huge impacts of natural disasters due to reasons pertaining to their location and

    landscapes

    • CEF component in RKIEDP - community funding of infrastructure and enhanced working capital

    support

    • An additional Rs 5 Crore be allotted under the project equally across these five blocks, enhancing their

    CEF by a crore each.

  • COMMUNITY ENTERPRISES FUND TO CDS

    • Community Lend Soft Loan for the development of enterprises and livelihood activities

    of NHG members

    • Under RKDP, Kudumbashree has received Rs. 30 Cr. (524 CDS)

    • Kudumbashree had disbursed Rs. 30 Cr. to 524 CDS prioritizing the demand from flood

    affected CDS.

    Additional CEF

    • 51 more CDS who require CEF for supporting enterprises for revival, expansion and

    development.

    • Savings in Kudumbashree RKDP - supporting the 51 CDSs which were excluded

    from the primary list but requires CEF assistance.

    • Additional Grant of 2.53 Crores is requested to assist 51 CDS with loan pool grant

    for lending soft loans to enterprises.

  • ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING (ERP)

    • The ERP module may include financial accounting, Management accounting,Human resources, Project management, Customer relationship management and Dataservices.

    • Action Plan - Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)• Vendor selection• System Study and Requirement study/analysis from various teams.• ERP Customization for Kudumbashree.• Analyze the scope and platform finalization• Module wise implementation at various levels• Training and change management• Support and Maintenance

    • An amount of Rs. 1.00 Cr. will be needed for implementing ERP inKudumbashree.
