exciting and busy time in the real estate market. Many people will begin relocating,

moving up and moving down or what we like to call “right-sizing”. This season is no

different and we are ready to assist buyers and sellers who choose to entrust their important

move to us.

This Spring, more than others, it is easy to recognize the list of incredible things happening

in our local area. The fact that North Texas is a fabulous place to raise a family, can

attract and grow businesses small and large, has such an appealing cost of living and is

without a state income tax has resonated throughout our Country! We are thrilled to

welcome Toyota, State Farm, Fed Ex and the many others headed our way. We are also

greatly anticipating the formal opening of Nebraska Furniture and enjoying the dining,

entertainment, retail and overall expansion that these relocations will provide.

With the influx of these businesses, the forecast for the housing market remains strong

for the not only new builder neighborhoods, but for pre-owned homes as well. Last year,

there were far fewer homes on the market than I have seen in a very long time. If the

inventory remains low again this year, you can expect the continuation of stable housing

values. Along the way, there are several new mortgage guidelines that will take effect

during the year that could impact the appraisal process. Also, there is the prediction of

rising interest rates. When you combine the general housing market and the mortgage

industry, there is never a dull moment in real estate!
