Written by Kathleen Spaltro© Copyright 2000. All Rights Reserved.

This selective index to the Ricardian Register, a publication of the American Branch of the Richard IIISociety, includes major features and book reviews published from 1966 through the end of 1999. Itexcludes interesting but more ephemeral material such as letters to the editor, most accounts of Ricardiantravel, and news items and reports. The product of volunteer editors and writers, the Register appeared atdiffering intervals over the years, which accounts for the varied designations given to different issues(month and year, issue number and year, season and year).

The Author Index lists the authors of major articles. The Title Index includes all major features by title, aswell as the titles of all books reviewed. Two subject indexes follow. In the Major Lancastrians and YorkistsSubject Index appear all of the major players in the fratricidal struggle known as the Wars of the Roses aboutwhom the Register has published major articles. Each of these people also appears in the accompanyingfamily tree entitled Descent of Lancaster and York from John of Gaunt. The second subject index, MajorTopics and Minor Figures, lists supporting players and significant topics discussed in major articles.
