notes, ideas, revelations, epiphanies, start-up ideas, people to call, things I love...
More than 230 years ago, ordinary
citizens in Boston dreamed of
a democracy and launched a
revolution that changed the course
of human history. That innovative
spirit still thrives in our local
students, educators, scientists,
artists, leaders, and entrepreneurs.
At TEDxBoston, we celebrate
their ideas and their passion
for improving the way citizens
of the world learn, live, give,
work, and play.
Welcome to TEDxBoston 2010, where x = independently organized TED event. We honor local innovators who have the passion, curiosity, and tenacity to change the world with their revolutionary ideas.
We've brought together storied professors, inspiring entrepreneurs, forward thinkers, radical architects, intriguing designers, brilliant scientists, and astounding performers who make the greater Boston area one of the most exciting and promising cities in which to launch a business or a social enterprise.
You'll hear new ways of thinking about democracy and globalization in the 21stcentury. You'll learn about breakthroughs in treating spinal cord injury, fabricating a home, and harnessing the ocean's power. You'll be motivated by designers and social entrepreneurs who are accelerating innovation in Boston and improving the lives of citizens around the world, and you'll be amazed by artists who use music and movement to inspire us all.
We are delighted you’re here,
