DESCRIPTION
MISSION/ OBJECTIVES The objectives for the program are to introduce into the English culture, a little taste of the Guinean culture, like it was never done before. By creating this event, our main goal is to bring entertainment to Great Britain in general. We want to target audience from all different backgrounds, gender, race and religion. We will strive to offer an atmosphere and services that will be up to the standards of our audience, and within health and safety regulations. The program would be held on the 08/12/2012 at barking, Oasis 6/8 Thames Road IG11 0HZ. It will be a one night live act, where we will offer the participation of singers, dancers, dj’s and different types of entertainment, and the support of the Portuguese and African’s television on the day. Our mission is to continue to offer these services once a year.

Guinea Bissau is situated in the West Africa; it is bordered by Senegal to the north and Guinea to the south and east, with the Atlantic Ocean to its west. This country was colonized by the Portuguese and today it has a great influence in the Portuguese culture, amongst other.
At the present moment there is a big Portuguese community within the United Kingdom, and this was a creative way, we have found to bring the community together.
At the moment we are scattered around various sides of the country, and the Guinean community has grown a lot within the United Kingdom over the years.
Guinea –Bissau has been a victim of constant warfare and recently suffered a coup; therefore the people feel quite sad and down without any hope, or joy. Many have lost family and friends, and many cannot and could not return to their home country anymore, due to the lack of security that the country offers at the moment. After a long period of reflexion, we have come up with this idea, Miss Guinea-Bissau UK, this is aMISSION/ OBJECTIVES

BUSSINESS FORMAT
Miss Guinea-Bissau main members are Elisabete Lopes, Sara Sailgh and Gerson Marino (we also have the kind sup-port of family, friends and different bodies).
Elisabete Lopes is a young Portuguese Entrepreneur and she was the one which came up with the idea of Miss Guinea-Bissau per se.
Elisabete Lopes has learned her organizational skills whilst she was still working at The Portuguese Prime Minister’s Office.
She is currently a manager assistant at the cleaning compa-ny, Breanheath limited, and she is currently studying busi-ness management at the University of Bolton. She is also involved in a Portuguese magazine; this project was created by a close friend, where Elisabete Lopes was invited to be
the director and the responsible of the sales department. In order to bring closer the Portuguese community here in the U.K
She is in charge of attending meetings, hire staff and dealing with the general complaints.
Sara Sailgh has graduated at the University of Salford, with
Alongside with the progress of the Portuguese magazine, Miss Lopes came along with the idea of organizing Miss Guinea- Bissau beauty pageant.
A BA (Honours) degree in Translation/Interpretation with three languages and she is currently doing a Master’s degree in International Relations.
Sara has also done a business course where she obtained a diploma from Manchester’s Metropolitan University and she is currently working at Barclays bank Plc as a Premier banker advisor.
She is in charge of all the legal and financial side of the company.
Gerson Marino has a degree in Photography and Graphic Design. Gerson also works as a Dj and an events promoter. Marino has years of experience on the entertaining business, a fact that has been helping him to keep on organizing suc-cessful events. Gerson has different types of audience, he enjoys new challenges. He has performed in weddings Cer-emonies, Christenings, birthday parties, Christmas parties and various other events. Gerson has a very good reputation and he is also an excellent professional. The demand for his services has increased tremendously throughout the years.

Irene Almada she is 25 years old, born in Guinea Bissau, went to Portugal when she was 3 years old and lived there until she was 21.
she is positive person with a lot of determination, when she do something she like to give 100% to achieve it.

she came to UK in 2010 to study, she is doing 2nd year of Public Health Environmental Health when she finish she pretend to do Master of Nursing (Adult Nursing).
currently studying and working as part time job
On my spare time I like to take care of myself I like to go to Gym, I like to go shopping, I like to socialize with friends, I like to read and listen to music, and also I do some volunteering work in a Nursing Home where I do some company to the elder people, where is also a great opportunity to learn some skills for my future job as a nurse.
Since she won Miss Guinea- Bissau UK 2013 she pretend to start some projects to help the community in Guinea Bissau, specially the children’s and also the old people. she will get some funds and send some school and hospital materials to help them improve the teaching skills and treatment skills.

Foi a 18 anos atras quando partecipei no concurso de miss em lisboa e como tenho tambem muito gosto em moda e tudo o que está telacionado com beleza , cultura e moda

O concurso ja existe ha 2 anos em uk Reino unido
5. Como é feita a escolha do Juri?
A escolha é feita numa extensive lista de professional de origem Guineese, e nao so e pessoas que tambem que estao ligadas a moda .
6. Em sua opinião o que achaste do evento Miss guinea Bissau 2013?
Bastante positive, mas é necessario ainda mas sponsorship para poder oferecer melhor evento cada ano.
7. O que acha da Miss Guinea Bissau 2013, Irene almeida?
Acho qu Irene Almada foi uma boa escolha, ela é meiga e muito humilde acho que vai repre-sentar bem a Guiné - Bissau
8. Quais sao as deficuldades que atravessaste para organizar este miss?
Muitas , nao temos apoios e tudo é feito com as nossas poupanças.
