Returning with New Spirit

“If you weren’t able to join us in Jo’burg, make a commitment to join us at #FGR17 in Dubai ”

For more than 30 years we have been visiting Africa. I love it there. The culture, the people, the music, the food and even the animals are all unique and leave a big impression. You cannot visit Africa without leaving a piece of your heart and taking with you a renewed hope and optimism about what can be achieved if you are willing to work hard, Smile and like Phineas said, “Dance when you are happy!”

Ten thousand of you joined us as we celebrated your hard work and success at #FGR16. There are so many things I want to share with you about Rally, but it would take days to get it all out. So, they say a picture paints a thousand words and I could not agree more. We have picked out a few of the amazing pictures available at Foreverfotos.com to tell the story.

If you weren’t able to join us in Jo’burg, make a commitment to join us at #FGR17 in Dubai. As you can see, Rally is an event not to be missed.

Thank you to everyone that joined us

in Johannesburg and made Rally an experience like no other!

Forever Yours,

Rex Maughan CEO

Questions that will help you in your business

Have you seen that advert on TV that asks Do you like driving? The advert doesn’t narrate a great deal to us, except someone who seems to enjoy driving, putting their hand out the window. But the question is simple and powerful as it makes you think and suggests something specific, right?

Do you like asking questions? I do, and I think a good set of questions really helps you to figure out your next move when you are with a customer or a future FBO. It all began three years ago when I took over Forever Spain and Portugal and my ten year-old daughter asked me, “Daddy, what is Forever?” (You may remember, I shared this anecdote in my first letter as Director) and after answering her with a canned sentence, “Forever is a multinational company that makes aloe vera products and bla, bla, bla....” she looked at me with a puzzled face. Then I asked her, “Why do you want to know?” And she said, “So that I can tell them in school”. In the end I told her, “Forever is a company where dreams are made”. From that moment on, I resolved to improve my ability to ask questions and so I ask questions that help me to contextualise the people I talk to and which, above all, help me to filter.

Let me tell you some of the tricks I use when I ask questions and which help me to develop the business:

1. When I ask, “What do you do?”, the answer doesn’t matter much until I add, “And why do you do it?”. Many people have a moment of doubt because they have never really thought about this question. However, I assure you that it helps many people to really think about their current job and become aware of the change that they could make in the future. On occasions, I finish by asking, “What you’re doing now

fulfils you and makes you happy, doesn’t it?”. Try asking this question and you will get a surprise or two with the answers.

2. On very few occasions I ask “Why?”. I try to omit this question as the majority of people tend to justify themselves when you ask why. For example, instead of asking “If you don’t like your job because it doesn’t leave you any time for yourself, why don’t you just change jobs?”, I say “Would you consider changing jobs if you could have more quality time for yourself?”. The first question hands out an excusatory answer on a plate, whereas the second one forces people to reflect.

3. Another question I ask is “What are you good at?”. It might seem incredible but there are people who reply, “I don’t know”. This question enables the focus to be placed on whatever it is that your interlocutor enjoys and it will help you to know if what they like most has any connection with starting up a business in Forever.

4. “¿Did you give 100% today in your daily tasks?” The task or activity in itself doesn’t matter, it may be “when you took the kids to school” or “when you drew up a sales report”. This question reveals a way of facing challenges that helps us to filter. Many people do not think about whether giving 100% is good or bad, they simply do it “as usual”. Nevertheless, it is important for me to know what level of commitment my interlocutor may make to the effort that network marketing requires.

5. Asking in conditional tense helps the person to visualise a goal or target. For example “What would happen if you had more time to look after your children?” or “What would happen if your

current company closed tomorrow?”. These questions help us place value on future situations that people do not want to consider because we are reluctant to face what could hurt us.

6. “And why not?” This is the question that breaks down many of the “NO-I can’t” objections. Many people say “I can’t” instead of “I don’t know how”. And so I ask, “¿And why not?” which is similar to, “What have you got to lose if you do it?”. If the majority of people say “no” to business, it helps them visualise that really there is no risk.

7. If the person is not interested in the product, or in the business, instead of asking the classic question “Do you know of anyone who might be interested?· I ask “Do you know anyone who is going through a hard time and needs a change in their life?” When I ask this question, the very same interlocutor usually asks me for more information to share.

8. I finish with my most powerful question of all: “How could I help you?” It is, without doubt, number one for me because it relates to my vocation to help others develop a business and change things, through Forever.

Have your own set of questions prepared when you sit next to a future customer or FBO, it will really help you improve performance in your business.

So, do you like asking questions now?

Kind regards

Joaquín García Operations Manager Forever Spain & Portugal

ASSISTANT SUPERVISOR

Britt Eva Pritchard SupervisorHello,

My name is Britt-Eva H. Pritchard (Eva Pritchard for short). I’m a Norwegian who has been living in Spain since 2011. I have 2 grown up children, and a 1 year old grandson. I’m also lucky enough to have both my parents still alive. All of them are living in Norway, so I go back to visit as often as I can.

I was introduced to Forever in 2015 in a private meeting with my sponsor. I got some information about the company and the products, and a few samples to try out. I liked the samples! However, I wasn’t really that interested in the beginning, and didn’t even read the follow-up e-mail my sponsor sent me until mid January 2016. I got more curious and asked for a second meeting. Now I was interested and saw that this was “my ticket” to become financial independent. Muy importante para mí! I signed up the last day of January, and quickly realized that if I was going to do this I had to go “all in”. So I became an Assistant Supervisor on my first order in February. I set up my first goals, among them: becoming a Manager within the end of 2016. I’ve changed my goals since then, and now I’m changing them again as I became a Supervisor a month before my last goal update!

I have tried out a lot of the different products by now, and I absolutely love the products! I’ve also had friends to try out products for me (I do not want to walk around and smell like a man for instance). There has been so many positive feedbacks, both from friends and customers and potentials. I have a small team by now. My main focus

ahead is team building, and to help others achieve whatever their dreams and goals will be. I’m not saying it’s easy going, there are a lot of challenges and not so fun days! However, by steady work and determination, there is a lot to look forward to and to enjoy on the way.

I also have to mention Forever Giving. It makes me feel really proud to be part of a company that gives so much back to those in need! Especially the focus on providing aid and relief to children. We all want to do better for ourselves, but helping others is the greatest feeling that no money can buy!

I wish to grab this opportunity to say thank you to my patient sponsor, thank you to all the staff in Madrid for all their help and advice. A massive thank you to my team! I’m so proud of you all, regardless of what your intentions are in Forever.

I found my path in life. I am really excited about my own and my team’s future prospects in this new family. I’m a Forever – Forever!
