    CoolingNo cooling device is necessary i th e size of cartridge usedan d th e construction of th e gu n make it possible to shoot from3 ,600 to 4 ,000 continuous rounds without overheating . Byusing barrels alternately, it is possible to keep up practicallycontinuous fire .

    From actual operation it ha s been found that after discharging22,000 rounds from each barrel , operated as above , th e gunwa s still in perfect condition .

    RangeTh e total range is from 1 ,200 to 1 ,50 0 yards. At 500 yardsit will penetrate 3 inches or more of very hard wood.

    on which th e cartridge clips or magazines are :fixed by means ofa ferrule attachment, to the inside of which th e ejector screwis fixed.The rear part of th e breech block is provided with a cylindricalhole into which th e double liring bolt fits , th e latter protrudesfrom the breech through a slot an d this projection forms at th esame time the cock. The bolt rests against a strong springcombining in itself the functions of firing an d of taking up th erecoil ; th e rear of th e breech block is closed by means of aplug-screw , an d th e whole is held in the aforementionedhandle-bar or frame by means of a strong pin with knurledhead, this pi n being secured at the bottom by a split pi n .The bolt is provided with a spring extractor which at th emoment of firing catches the rim of th e cartridge, drawingsame ou t of th e barrel , after which th e empty cartridge casedrops ou t of the breech block through an opening provided atth e lower side an d corresponding to the intake of th e cartridgeson th e top .Th e firing pin proper works inside the bolt in such a wa y thatthe point of th e pi n will pass through a suitable opening inth e bolt after the bolt ha s ru n through it s whole course.Rubber rings ar e fitted to the front part of the shot plugs inorder to deaden th e recoil of th e bolt ; th e tw o barrels proper
