Conference Announcement and call for SubmissionsWe are pleased to invite you to an exciting international conference focussed on and rethinking Interprofessional education. The conference welcomes contributions and participation from: academics, researchers, practice professionals, project leads/managers, policy makers and commissioners, students and graduates, public, patients and service-users.The conference will bring together individuals and groups who share knowledge and expertise from their experience and research; and also have an interest in experiential learning in a broad range of contexts. This might include anyone who is working, mutually engaging or learning with others in the workplace and/or in educational settings.

Call for SubmissionsThe Programme Committee invites submissions from contributors to the conference. These contributions are welcomed in a variety of different formats.Presentations – these contributions will typically involve up to a 20 minute presentation at the conference: for example: paper, case study, debate, narrative and poetry. Selection will be made from an initial submission of abstract.Posters and artwork – these contributions will typically involve the delegate providing a short commentary on their work. Selection will be made from an initial submission of abstract.Drama and film – these contributions will typically involve up to a 20 minute production at the conference. Selection will be made from an initial submission of abstract. Please contact us to discuss the format and technical requirements.

Abstract and Concept Submission RequirementsAbstracts should be submitted by email (Microsoft word file preferred) to [email protected]. The subject line should refer to Rethinking Interprofessional Education. All abstracts will be reviewed by the conference review committee.

The abstract and concept submission should include the following:

• Name of author/presenter(s) – making it clear which author is the primary contact• Organisation represented, contact email, telephone and address• Title and type of submission clearly indicate if submitting paper, case study, debate, film, drama, poster or art,

narrative or poetry• 250-400 word abstract that indicates the key conference theme being explored

DatesThe deadline for the submission of abstracts and concepts: Monday, 16 July 2007 Notification of acceptance of all submissions: Wednesday, 18 July 2007 Conference dates: Monday, 8 and Tuesday, 9 October 2007

RegistrationPlease note that all presenters will be required to register for the conference and pay the conference fees.Conference Fees1. Full Conference Package (Monday, 8 and Tuesday, 9 October 2007)

One and a half days including lunch, three-course conference dinner, overnight accommodation (at the conference venue), breakfast and refreshments. Cost: £245 including vat

2. Single Day Attendance Including lunch and refreshments Cost: £125 including vat

Cancellation & Substitution Policy Bookings may be amended/cancelled up to 21 days before the conference commences and will be subject to an administration fee of £25. Unfortunately, after this date we cannot make refunds on any cancellations.

How to get thereSituated only five miles from Plymouth City Centre, within Plymouth’s International Business Park, Future Inn Plymouth is one mile north of the A38 on the A386 Tavistock Road, the main north south route in and out of the city. It is ideally located close to Derriford Hospital, the Peninsula Medical School, the University College of St Mark & St John and Plymouth City Airport.

By RailPlymouth is on the Glasgow and London to Penzance mainlines. Plymouth Railway Station is approximately a 10 minute taxi ride to the hotel.

By AirPlymouth City Airport is approximately a five minute taxi ride to the hotel.

By RoadFrom Exeter or Cornwall take the A38 Devon Expressway and exit on to the A386 towards Tavistock. Keep following the signs for Tavistock and the hospital. After approximately one mile turn right at traffic lights into Plymouth International Business Park and then first left into the hotel.From Plymouth City Centre take the A386 towards Tavistock and continue on over the A38 flyover. At the first set of traffic lights turn right into Plymouth International Business Park and then left into the hotel.
