Scannable Resumes

Standard fonts between 10 and 14 points Italics and underlining cause problems for

the scanner. Use boldface for emphasis. Avoid vertical and horizontal lines. When

used, leave a least a quarter of an inch of space around the line.

Avoid graphics, shading and shadowing. Do not double space within sections.
