A: Research Fellow (Coord) (31October 1995 -July 25, 2000)
Coordinated and organized various national, regional and international seminars
in addition group discussion, workshops, advocacy and awareness campaigns.
The work included issuance of invitations, soliciting papers, programme of the
Seminar, identification of speakers and discussants, travel arrangements, hotel
bookings, press coverage of the events, list of participants etc., including liaison
with donor agencies for collaboration in organizing research projects and to
complete all formalities required for funding.
As a secretary of the Board of Governors and Policy Coordination and other
meetings wrote minutes of the meetings and as Associate Editor of Quarterly
Journal "National Development and Security” supervised its editing and
publishing.
Studies on topics of national, regional and international importance focusing on
Development and Security issues.
As Director: Integrated Consultancy Service Pvt. Ltd. (A subsidiary of
FRIENDS) prepared various project proposals for human development focusing
on education, women development, economic rights and environmental

Visited China at the invitation of China Arms Control and Disarmament
Association (CACDA) from 23 May to 28 May 2004, and held discussions,
participated in seminars, presented papers and interacted with Chinese
intellectuals, academicians, defense analysts and foreign policy experts at
various institutions/organizations based in Beijing. On 27 May 2004, the
delegation visited Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies, Academy of Social
Sciences and held an in-house discussion. Mr Muhammad Munir made a
presentation on “The Post 911 World: Geopolitical Imperatives and The
Development of Sino-Pak Relations”.

FRIENDS (Glencore France) for UN Food for Oil Programme.
Visited Turkmenistan to participate in an International Conference on
Central Asia Regional Cooperation for Peace and Development organised in
collaboration with UNESCO, Hanns Seidel Foundation and Government of
Turkmenistan held on 26-28 November 1997.
Visited U.K. and Belgium to participate in a three week course on
International Security held at St.Andrew University Scotland, U.K. (21 July
to 9 August 1996). The main part of the course was a programme of seminar
by a range of outstanding specialists and a field trip to NATO and SHAPE
headquarters at Brussels including a service visit to RAF Leuchars,
Scotland. The course was attended by scholars from twenty two countries.
