They require their own application. Read the HOSPITAL DIRECTORY available of the computermatching website. Hospital information sessions (not compulsory)
Resume and CV advice
What do they look for in a resume?
Snapshot, relevant, easy to read, emphasis on skills, track records and
achievements that are relevant
Tailored to the template they want
Format
Reverse chronological order from most recent
Write in 3rd person
Formatting - be consistent, font easy to read
Contact details
Phone numbers that you’re most contactable by first; make sure you’re
always sounding professional
E-mail address: make sure it is professional. Monash email address is fine
Do not include: martial status, DATE OF BIRTH/AGE, gender, ethnicity
Education
Include: year you started and completed your course or the year you started
to current. Name of the course in full (no abbreviations), name of the
institution e.g. Monash uni, ajors and minors, when you propose to finish your
course if you haven’t finished
Optional to cinlude: education related achievemnts e.g. D-HD average, ATAR
score above 85.0
Do not include: every subject you have taken at uni or high school
Awards aand achievements
Awards/achievements, faculty awards, HD D average,
Just leave title in and leave blank if nothing there, don’t delete sections
Employment history
Employment history, work history, work experience
Include:
o Month and year you started to the month and year you finished
o Title of the position
o Mae of the organization
o Key roles and responsibilities
o Achievements in the position
Dealing with gaps
o E.g. if you went overseas for a year, include this (these events are all
part of your experiences)
Embed skills in resume
Target your skills using information from the hospital’s website. Commonly
employability skills that are highly sought by hospitals include:
communication, teamwork
For example, also add other points in dot points under employment regarding
those - how you used those communication skills to fulfill those
responsibilities in those roles etc. A clinical placement might have been
particularly relevant to a particular hospital you went to - you can draw
attention to them by drawing selectively on key communication skills or team
work skills etc.

Attach resume and/or cover letter as a word document and send to

Don’t assume that the interviewers remember details about you or your
application - explain everything
How to answer
Situation - what is the background or specific experience
Task - what needed to be done to address the problem and the strategies you
considered
Action - what you actually did and how you did It. Include the difficulties and
problems you faced
Result - what was the outcome. Would you do anything differently next time?
Behavioural questions
Tell me about a time you made a positive impact on ateam? What did you do?
What was the outcome?
Can you give me an example of a time you’ve worked in a team?
Tell me when you achieved a job?

How do you think the course has prepared yo for te workplace
Whata re yor strengths and weaknesses?
o Weaknesses in terms of professional development? Not character trait.
If you’re very interested in an area they specialize in, and it
demonstrates that you take responsibility for your own professional
development, you think about it.
