• Thread Cuttings
• Measuring workpieces correctly
DAY 1• Pre-assessment exam• Exam evaluation• Safety review• Lathe controls• Calculating feeds and speeds• Practice cutting on lathe
DAY 2• Threading calculations• Machine complex parts
DAY 3• Indexable tooling• Instruction on threading
DAY 4• Practice external threading• Cut threads in previously machined complex work-piece
DAY 5• Complete complex work-piece• Assessment following competition
