It is lots of fun, very re-warding and the senior residents truly appreciate our music. If you are here for a short time you are welcome to join us to sit among the residents as our audience and sing along. Pinochle

Wednesday, November 13 at 6:30 p.m. Golf Club (card room) Teena and Stu Jones migrated from PA in December of 2016 to become permanent residents at the Plantation - Somerset. We love it here! We come from a family of card players. Our favorite game has been Pinochle and in PA we had a small group who met once a month at each other's homes for some friendly competition. It didn't take long for us (especially Stu) to miss Pinochle here. We had a void to fill and decided to determine how much interest we could generate. Teena spoke with Sandra and here we are. It has been about a year now and our club is really growing! At our last monthly meeting we had five tables of now mostly competent players. We started with members of various levels of experience from none to card sharks! We meet year round, once a month in the club house with tables set up in the women's locker room. When the pub is having their full menu, many of us have food and drinks there before cards. Our card session is generally two hours with three rounds lasting about 40 minutes each round. If you already know how to play or are interested in learning, please contact Teena Jones at [email protected] or call her at 717-755-4586. Feel free to join in the fun!
